So, how many of us are off to Germany?

I've got tickets for;

Ukraine v Saudi Arabia - Hamburg
Mexico v Portugal - Gelsenkirchen
Ukraine v Tunisia - Berlin; and
Poland v Cost Rica - Hanover (possibly - waiting for returns)

Yes, I know, not the biggest games, but then, thats how I managed to get the tickets in the first place :) .

I'm going to be in Berlin around the time of the Final, but sadly do not have any tickets. :(

I will actually have to be at the Airport during the final, unless of course England are there and then I may have to miss my plane!

Well due to working for a certain company who will get no advert here (as some of you may hurt me!), and a very understandable missus I have tickets for...

10/06 England v Paraguay - Frankfurt - then 73 miles to..
12/06 Australia v Japan - Kaiserslautern - then 102 miles to..
13/06 France v Switzerland - Stuttgart - then 126 miles to...
15/06 England v Trinidad & Tobago - Nuremburg - then 126 miles to...
16/06 Holland v Ivory Coast - Stuttgart - then 103 miles to...
17/06 Italy v USA - Kaiserslautern - then 187 miles to...
19/06 Togo v Switzerland - Dortmund - then 56 miles to...
20/06 England v Sweden - Cologne - then 118 miles to...
21/06 Holland v Argentina - Frankfurt - then 134 miles to...
22/06 Japan v Brazil - Dortmund - then 55 miles to...
23/06 Togo v France - Cologne - then 352 miles to...

I have even bought tickets for both games we could be in at each stage so:

24/06 if we come 2nd - Munich - then 136 miles to...
25/06 if we top group - Stuttgart - then 387 miles to...

30/06 if we come 2nd - Berlin - then 315 miles to...
31/06 if we top group - Gelsenkirchen - then 22 miles to...

04/07 if we come 2nd - Dortmund - then 371 miles to...
05/07 if we top group - Munich - then 135 miles to...

08/07 3rd place playoff - Stuttgart - then 387 miles to...
09/07 THE FINAL! - Berlin

So thats 19 games and 3185 miles in 30 days...shit I didnt realise it was so many!

If its any consolation, Me and My brother decided to 'take in' Euro 96 and bought tickets for games with Spain, Croatia, France, Scotland, Holland, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Romania up and down the Country (as well as all the England games).
The experience of just 'going along' and soaking up the different atmospheres, before, during and after each match was an experience I will never forget...

Good luck to you and ENJOY!! Very envious!

Togo Switzerland is the one Im most looking forward to with regards to the group games as I dont really have any preference about who wins and will be my first visit to Westfalenstadion (I refuse to call it by its new name!) and I've wanted to go there for years...just a shame the terrace will have seats on it!

I dont actually work for one of the tournaments sponsers, just a company with a BIG connection with football that has an Aussie owner and has some offices in Isleworth...

Which games were you thinking of watching? There's no chance of tickets for Engand or any of the other 'glamour' sides now of course unless you have very deep pockets indeed, but if you just want to be there for the atmosphere and aren't too fussed about which match(es) you see then you should still be able to buy from FIFA in advance for face value. Returns for some of the less attractive games (Ukraine v both Tunisia and Saudi, Tunisia v Saudi, Iran v Angola and Togo v Switzerland especially) regularly become available on the official World Cup website and with just a little patience and luck you should be able to get something.

 One of my footballing ambitions is to see a domestic match at the Westfalenstadion so that I can witness that wall of yellow.
