Scored after eight minutes on Coventry's pre season tour of America - against the Portland Timbers. Bet he would rather have been at Staines Town.

I looked for a link but couldn't find one, I'm afraid. His post on the GPG got a mention, though!

Wish Mickey Adams thought so. Went to the Ricoh today and was surprised to find Tabby not only on the bench but not even given the chance to get on. Chris Birchill however (despite having only signed on Friday) played the first hour or so

Perhaps if that continues we can get him back on loan

Blinding debut today apparently! Keep it up Jay - we'll follow your progress with pride and regret in equal measure... :love2:

I see on the BBC site he got booked. I wonder which Leeds superstar's cage he rattled.
I'll keep an eye out for Championship footy tomorrow now.

Got this from a Coventry fan on another forum. :)

Jay Tabb made his first start for us today, after having a double hernia operation, and he was fantastic for us. Won the Man of the match award. He played on the left of midfield, drifted in quite a lot and caused Leeds plenty of problems. Got an assist for Stern John's goal too.

I know how much you loved Jay, so I thought you would be interested by it.

Not a traditional footballer's name. Not really typical of Yorkshire either really. But I'm sure Jay had his reason.
