Now that we have "the homepage for Brentford FC's online supporters", how about polling us online supporters to find what we would like on our homepage.

I would suggest:

- next match info
- links to Brentford related sites
- announcements (BIAS meetings, 5-a-side, fanzine on sale, etc)
- news headlines

As long as you can find someone with the time and commitment to maintain something like that!

I thought the home page was their more just as a link for you to go to the two message boards, rather than a 'hive' of information!

It's a good idea, Dimbee, and one that we will definitely get round to at some point, definitely before the new season starts. Fancy designing it?

Could we have a section devoted to Bees players/performances of years gone by so that us forty somethings can bang on about the Royal Oak End, local derbies with Aldershot and whether Alan Mansley was the fifth Beatle. I can close my eyes on the Ealing road now and be transported back to the 70s hearing shouts of "You don't want to get promoted Brentford" etc. and it might be educational for some of you young chaps to realise that we were here when Brentford were really crap. Anyone agree?

Wise old Bee we must be of the same vintage. Remember the grass terraces at Aldershot? The friendly welcomes at Colchester (I used to supplement my pocket money with all the coins they threw)?

Nice to look back now and again to the days 'when we was crap'. There are enough things happening at the moment club wise however to make these the 'crap days of the future'. Give it thirty years or so and we'lll have the kids saying. Remember when we could actually afford to watch football. Martin Rowalnds 50th full Eire cap? Brentford?

Do any of you remember Newport County Fc and ground made Aldershot look good even worse than my old club Southall (before it was demolished for Houses).
The girls were friendly in Newport to aah those were the days

Somerton Park - I remember it well! I was sitting on the wall once at the edge of the speedway track and a police officer asked me if I knew what it was there for. I replied, "To stop all your players running away!" He grinned, waved me back and walked off, can you imagine that happening today?

On a non-league theme. I remember bunking-in to Hillingdon Borough (my chosen team when the Bees were away) to avoid paying the two-bob entrance fee and then being given a 'job' selling team sheets because the regular bloke hadn't turned up.

Back to Bees can anyone else remember how much it used to be to transfer into 'Y' block (was it Y block? - now the Family hide-away). I think it used to be sixpence.

Bloody hell I am starting to sound like the blokes on the Fast Show!

You bunch of kids !!

I remember ploughing the 450 acre site that my uncle owned between Kew Bridge and Ealing thinking " this'll make a good site for a football club " Problem was it was 1746 and football hadnt been invented !

If you are the real Nigel Brooks you will be able to answer these questions. What colour three wheeler did you go to Colchester in on that bank holiday Monday? and which Brentford player's mum did you attempt to bum tickets from at Swindon?
I too was one of the dangerous hooligans who bunked into Hillingdon that time. I suspect you realise now who I am..............

Morning JB

I can't remember the colour of the three wheeler but I remember it constantly overheating.

I shall always be grateful to Gary Roberts' mum for the tickets and I sold more programmes than you, so there!!!
