Missing messages?

Why is it that sometimes a topic is indicated as having a new message posted but when you scroll down to the bottom there is nothing new?

Probably because you have an earlier version of the page in your computer's "cache". Hit the refresh/reload button. If this happens persistently, check your computer's settings. If you're on a network, it could be the network that is keeping the old version of the page. In any case, refresh should do the trick.
