I've sampled three as a Brentford supporter

1992-3 I was absolutely gutted - things have never been the same again

1997-8 - We were rubbish for most of the season no thanks to Webb

2006-7 - The most pathetic season ever

At least they, although were second best in almost every game, tried and showed passion, especially in 92/93 - Birmingham, Sunderland, Tottenham away, except for Mr Biggar in the end.

2006-2007 - JUST F*** OFF U C***S:sad:

65-66 Pre-season favourites! Boardroom activity led to proposed sell-off in 67

72-73 Selling O'Mara didn't help, Everitt not up to it as manager, terrible signings, never really looked like surviving but showed some fight.

92-93 A real tragedy, losing Terry Evans in first match of season, terrible run after New Year but nearly survived and were genuinely unlucky not to.

97-98 Webb-orchestrated fiasco. May not up to it and Adams made no real difference. Players did offer some fight but just not good enough.

06-07 Joint effort by directors and players.

65-66 was the most surprising, 92-93 the most tragic but 06-07 has been far and away the worst in every repect.

92-93 and 97-98 went to the wire and I didn't give up hope till the end. This time around it's all over with four games to go, and I gave up hope in December.

Everyone must take their share of the blame, but the gutlessness of the players over the last few weeks is the hardest to stomach - especially those earning decent money.

MY third relagation, was gutted the first time around that 97th minute goal really cost us but atleast we went till the last day, this time is an embarrassment

If my memory serves then the previous relegations were decided on the last day of the season whilst we still had a chance. This has been decided at xmas..the only thing that dragged it out is that the other teams above us kept losing and we still had a stack of games left.

When fitz brought in new players we had a brief revival but effectively it has been over since we lost to northampton in a six point shocker. A team that had lost about 10 games on the spin and they played us off the park.

Third relegation for me as well.

It's been nothing but embarrassing this season. I don't feel upset because we have been a joke since September.

Yeah, you are right. Going down out of the first division was a choker because we were in new ground and started so well and then collapsed. It was a horrible learning curve and had that **** not allowed 7 minutes of unjustified injury time we could have consolidated the next season and spent a bit longer in that division. This was just awful as it made the previous seasons miracle count for nothing and tainted that great feeling in my eyes for the rest of my life.

I have got to the stage where it just does not hurt as much anymore. The last 20 years of being an England and bees supporter has just mirrored each other. The same old fkin routine over and over...fking up penalty shoot outs to weaker sides with one and throwing away league advantage and blowing the play offs losing to a lower placed team with the other. Just happens over and over.

You know when you see a boxer with a busted up nose and it just does not seem to hurt them anymore because they have been punched so many times...that is how I feel nowadays with football. We are the first team to lose in the lucky end at millenium letting in two deflected goals, we have lost more play offs than anybody, england have lost 5 of the last 7 tournaments on pen shoot outs..I have had enough of it all quite frankly! You couldnt make it up how sh1t it is to be an English brentford supporter could you?

Bring on the pre season friendlies..I quite enjoy those.

Personnally this has been my most enjoyable relegation as I backed the useless chumps to go down in the first week of September at 4-1 :( :( :( :(

And since then Brentford have not failed to deliver :D :D

I got in on 6-1 beginning of the season. Least Brentford being shit has an upside........

Even them early games when we were undefeated at the start of the season relegation was always on the cards:sad: As we were lucky to pick up points Orient away springs to mind

My 5th. relegation and they don't get any easier to stand. This time I think it will be a very long spell in League 2. Hopefully we won't have a relegation fight on our hands for a few years again. Otherwise that will really be the end of the road.

Third for me. By far the easiest to take. We have not been at the races for 6 months FFS!!

Lost count of the up and downs since 62-3 season but this is without doubt the most gutless team ever!

Hardly any goals scored, shedloads conceded and for once I totally agree with Ed we were down last December!! No bottle, no fight and a totally clueless captain what part of the word fight does he not understand?

I watched Sunderland's game last night (with a Saints fan - sorry Nick lol ) and they showed why they've gone from the bottom to the top of the Championship....a manager who scares the shite out of them if they under perform, a real fighting spirit, a solid and hard working back four and midfield....all the things BFC have lacked this campaign.

I can stomach the relegation what I'm really worried about is next season...how the hell are we going to get out of this free-fall with the hand to mouth approach we take with money. You certainly can't play kids in Div 4

This is the third for me as well. At least the other two were done on the last day of the season.

Exactly the same for me, don't feel sorry for anyone apart from the fans and will not be standing and giving ovations to players if they trot over looking pathetic and clapping us on Saturday. Perhaps if they'd have appeared to care like we do I might have some sympathy

This is the third relegation I have witnessed and to be honest, I have no feelings whatsoever. I really don't care what happens from now onwards, the club has already died in my eyes and I'm off to pastures new. See ya.

Third one for me too

Was at the game at BCFC and remember the long, quiet drive back

Was screaming at teletext in 97 for anybody to score a goal to get us a point

This time it has been like an Exocet missile in the Falklands War, you know its coming there's f all you can do about it. To be honest I didn't even bother to find out the score until this morning

After the first few games I thought we would be OK win a few lose a few lower mid table but once the losses started coming there was no fight and seemingly no plan B.

As somebody said on another thread, Frampton playing with an arm injury for about a game and a half with an adequate replacement available showed the lunatics had taken over the asylum
