I remember turning up late for an evening game at GP - Andy Driscolls first game. I was thinking 'Eddie May looks on fire tonight!' When at half time I found out it was Andy Driscoll. I thought he was a superb player. one game (end of season it was) he went past 4 or so players to knock in a goal starting with his back to the goal outside the penalty area. Never saw him have a bad game in the few that he got. Then he had a cartilage job - Phil holder took over and never really fancied him. I thought he looked a better prospect than Marcus Gayle for the big time and it was Marcus (frustratingly inconsistent) who kept him out. Then he got fed up left and went amateur, hoping some scout would recognise his obvious talent. I guess he was labelled by scouts as a football league faliure 'cos he never surfaced again. Makes you wonder how many talents get lost this way don't it?

I remember that game and a few others he played in,he did look a very good prospect.
Think that injury took its toll and he was'nt the same again, a great pity.

He also runs the Fitness Centre in Harefield (what used to be the Nat West Bank).
Injury in a pre-season match ended his chances of a professional career, sadly.

The article says that Terry Glynn will be looking after team affairs until a new manager is appointed. I wonder if this is the same Terry Glynn who played one game for Brentford in 1977?

He was only appointed in January.
Moved there as a player-coach along with another ex-Bee Chris Sparks when they quit as the now-defunct Hounslow Borough's management team back in 2004, so had been there a few years, unless he left and went back.
