Yes we played well and looked the better team, in the second half they just went on the defence and it became a boring game.
i joined some Brentford mailing list but it is dead, do you have any good Brentford info for my site? Also what is the best pub for away fans?
This is what I wrote to the list =
It's still 50/50 about Boyd's foot being Ok so he might not play on
Saturday. The Striker dilema still continues and the Swansea fans are ALL
concerned, the Swansea city fc floatation has gone ahead and John Hollins
has just said on radio Wales live that this means he now has more money to
spend on a striker, this is top of his list but he won't be pushed into any
rush buying.
The Swans played very well against Wigan last Saturday but we need a few
more games in this division before we know exactly how well we are likely to
do/finish this season. I think that there will be a lot of Swansea fans
travelling to Brenford this Saturday, probably 1000+, apart from Boyd I
think that we have a near 100% fit squad so it should be a good game.

Hi Swansea Jack, Nice of u to pop in/ on.
The best pub for away fans is probably the Kings Head near to where the coaches park/ behind the station. the Griffin (one of the four pubs on the corners of the ground, located at the away end) It usually attracts a few away fans but can be crowded.
Our away terrace is quite shallow, the seats above though provide probably the best view in the ground.

Hello Swansea Jack,
We have quite a few injury problems still so it won't be a full strength team that plays on Saturday. We are still having problems scoring and haven't scored at home since God knows when! With that record and you guys still being on a high after promotion I'd say you'd be slight favourites for Saturday.
Hope you have a good time down here, but not too good if ya know what I mean http://gpgrapevine.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif

I noticed that you have a thread about fans booing players, this is also a big problem at Swansea and a lot of our supporters seem to have players they don't like. I thought it was just Swansea fans...

45 mins 0-0 against 10 men Wigan not a bad result! like to see you do better! they brought on extra defenders in the second and went completely on the defence, whereas if they were playing you they would have carried on attacking and probably won!!!!
I lived in Brentford Wellington Road and used to drink in the Wellington, I worked for this statue moving place and had to catch the bus to work everyday. the bus always used to ******racist comments deleted****

So looks like I was 100% correct in my assumption the comments were not racist whatsoever,( that's why I stated that I was not a racist DER) for you to think they were indicates a deep underlying racism within yourself. And you probably think that all Welshmen are sheepsh@ggers!
It's not worth posting here anymore if your gonna delete everylittle thing that you don't like!
So I'll ask my question again:
I used to live in Hounslow Brentford and the place used to be full of people from Pakistan, the place I lived was owned by asians in fact they were everywhere and I got on with them great and am wondering do Pakistan people follow the Brentford football team?
If you consider this question racist then I pity you!
****please don't use racist language if you don't want people to think you are racist****

How many Taffs will be travelling down?

Alright Paul, yeah probably a thousand + how many will you have there. I learned to do a fluent Cockney accent after living up your way it is so easy to do I think everyone does it, (it's the only way you can get a pint http://gpgrapevine.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif so my question is: is it true that only 5% of Londoners are in fact of London heritage?
Prophet the stadium is supposed to be ready for the 2002/03 season.

I'm not reffering to Cockneys born within the sound of the bells etc... just Londoners in general. If this %ige is not accurate what would be your guess?
Edmundo

My guess would be around 75%, perhaps more. Why are you so obsessed by people's origin?
Chrisbee

I would say around 70% of the people on the electoral register! http://gpgrapevine.co.uk/ubb/biggrin.gif

Greetings SCFC Jack,
Most of Central London is full of foreigners (non UK birth) but Greater London is mostly full of people born within the M25.

I was born outside the M25 Moved to Brentford When I was 3. Am I a Londoner? http://gpgrapevine.co.uk/ubb/wink.gif

Because when I lived in Hounslow a lot of the people I met were either Asian, Caribbean, Greek, Turkish, Irish, Scottish and Welsh etc...

Ah but that's Hounslow, being near the airport it does have quite a varied mix of races. But I'd say London on a whole is mostly full of Londoners

It's quite possible to be be any of these and still be a second or greater generation Londoner.
