Thought I'd check out your mob against Swansea for the forthcoming fixture at The Manor on the 26th (better than going to Vale as it happened!). The New Road (Hate Corner) atmosphere was as spicy as ever, although the match as a spectacle left much to be desired, the fact that Brentford simply looked organised means that you'll probably cause the Yellows all sorts of problems. The highlight of the match was when I spotted one particular young lady - dunno who she was but she sure displayed the best chest (control)I've seen for some time!

What do you reckon on Fearo being subbed with 20 minutes to go in both your league games, especially as he is now your captain??I know Peter well, nice lad.(free tickets!!).Well done at Wolves...was it you who scored http://gpgrapevine.co.uk/ubb/biggrin.gif:!!

Mr Fear didn't play at all against Wolves we replaced him with a youngster called Whitehead who apparently had a good game. Doesn't bode well for Fear as he didn't do much for us last season - 1 (v.good) goal 1 assist although disrupted by injuries/suspensions. I hear he likes a drink or several! Still think we'll struggle though - beat Everton last year in the 2nd round but were still awful all season in the league. My alter ego indeed scored the goal. Can't believe the stick he gets despite his goals from midfield. Guess what - I spotted that bird again on my way back to work at lunchtime - it's a beautiful world!

Peter had a lot of time on his hands last season through injuries. He seems to have buckled down this season but it isn't happening for him....yet!He's a smashing lad and I would love to see him regain his former stature(at Wimbledon)but not until after Saturday. He is good mates with Reeves'(@ Swindon);they are spending less time in the pubs now it seems. We shall see.

Well done! A Brentford win as I predicted in spite of our victory over Wolves and an unchanged side and your injuries and Partridge still not given a starting place (why is that?). Your mob were the better organised outfit (a bit dirty though)and more adventurous. As you could probably tell the 5-3-2 we play isn't attacking enough - too many sideways passes across the defence and forward passes are always aimless ones - 4-4-2 is needed and fast! Mind you Walsall away tomorrow - 100% so we'll probably get something out of that one and then lose to Cambridge next Sat. Did you see Smith stroll over to the London Road to plead for the fans to be patient only to be drowned out by the tannoy!
