So League 1 it is - what are we going to do- My guess is

Lee Hodson - Loan ended - good player but not what we need

Jake Bidwell - Bags of potential, but inconsistent - would happy to get back again as he's sure to progress

Tom Adeaymi - Freebie now and think we'll get him - sign him up

Marcello Trotta - Marmite for most supporters - would like to see him back but believe we've seen the last of him

Bradley Wright Phillips - Hit and Miss - Thanks for the goals but doubt we'd try to go for his wages and not in our model to sign up young and progressive players. Would not like to come against him next year though

Rob Kienan - utility player and impressed when he was here - if available - get him in

Ours -

Sam Saunders - Impressed second half of the season and always good to come off the bench - not sure if I'd give him 2 years, but if he'd sign a 1 year extension would be happy

Farid Al Allagui - A full pre season should get him back to match fitness - Hopefully a key player next season for a more stable front 2

Scott Barron - Unfortunate signing for both parties, sure we'll try and offload him

Paul Hayes - Same as above

Worst case scenario I see;

Forrester off
Either or both Dean / Moore off
Logan off

Hopefully not too much change this summer, a few tinkerings, if not too bad think we can dominate this league next year as there is no-one to fear

I hate wembley. its grey, boring, awful to get an atmosphere going, dreadful service at the kiosks, overpriced, takes ages to leave, just such a dreadful experience, i honestly wouldnt go back to watch us in the paint pot cup final even a play off final wouldnt appeal again. ridiculous price for a dreadful stadium imo.

I have calmed down a bit now after the sadness and frustration of seeing yet another Playoff failure and my thoughts on today are really that we started too slowly and tentatively and then had our confidence smashed by a worldy finish by Madden.

I didn't realise quite how good it was until I saw it on TV. Logan's excellent block from Foley's shot could have gone anywhere but sod's law it went to the one player on the pitch good and brave enough to do what he attempted and score a goal of Premiership class.

Nobody could argue with the lineup Uwe selected and we had so much possession but did nothing in the final third.

Clayton can be devastating when coming in on the diagonal from the right attacking the far post but he played as an auxiliary right winger in the first half and given that Trotta gave a total repetition of his first half total non-display at MK Dons we never hung onto the ball up front.

Their 2 centre halfs were beasts and Uwe I am sure, thought Clayton would have had more joy coming in from the flank but it needed more support than he got from Trotta.

Forshaw and Diagouraga moved the ball around well but we only threatened from Trotta's weak near post header which forced a comfortable save from Stech.

I kept hoping that we could get in at halftime only one down so that Uwe could calm them down and get us playing but a horribly soft goal from a corner eally cost us the game.

Burn had almost a free header and the ball somehow got past Craig and Moore, a bit like a goal Chelsea scored against us at Stamford Bridge.

Tempted to go at halftime but we got much better with Clayton moving closer to Trotta and scored from a decent delivered Forshaw corner and a firm header from Dean.

We came alive and Forshaw almost put Bidwell in and after BWP came on we shoud have scored 3 more.

Donaldson's sharp header was pushed across the goalline by the keeper and BWP was back on his heels and didn't force the ball in. A poor miss IMO

Forshaw dribbled through the pack but shot straight at the keeper who then made a decent save from BWP's volley. Saunders made a difference as we huffed and puffed.

A Dean header wide and lots of late possession and flurries and that was that.

I just think we shot ourselves in the foot with our nervous start, were hit hard by a great goal and then defended so poorly for the killer second goal.

These were mistakes of youth and naivety.= but bloody frustrating all the same.

We sw the real Brentford in the second half but we came up just short.

Yeovil were fit organised, defended deep and well, had a dominating keeper, chased everything and in Madden a clinical finisher but in truth they were pretty damn average and we should have beaten them and I think we would if we had defended that corner better.

So the season ends and we are all pig sick and hurting and maybe a bit angry too.

I also feel a sense of pride at we have done and so nearly achieved but in a way that makes me feel worse as we came up short yet again.

But think back to the Chelsea home match, Southend and patches of so many other matches.

Yes we never made it easy for ourselves and scored far too few goals and were too negative at times away from home but we have some wonderful young players with the precociousness and ability of youth and the negatives of young players too.

They will all get so much better.

I fear that we will lose at least 2 of our best players and I can only hope that others decide to extend their contracts.

Given the way of the world they may decide not too and go too.

Uwe of course frustrates me at times but I still feel he is the best manager we have had since I started supporting this club and I think he is self-aware enough to take a long hard look at this season and also how he set us up to play and I suspect that he will make changes next season and allow us off the leash more.

Yes I think there will be changes and we will lose players we would prefer to keep but others will come in and we will progress.

Today is certainly a blow to our progress as you should never look a gift horse in the mouth and we did.

I am sure Uwe rues the Trotta penalty debacle and how this came about as this cost us everything.

Somehow Uwe got the players back on their feet after Doncaster and that was a fantastic achievement.

I still think we should have won today but it might well make us stronger next season.

That doesn't help me tonight as I feel sick but that should not take away from the pride I feel at how far we have come and the amount of growth that is still to come.

We need not to panic and keep as many of our stars as possible as well as the manager and just start again.

We we are the bottlers of all bottlers but somehow, sometime we will get over the line.
