Well it would be good if we could get numbers, they told me they need AT LEAST 20 - 25 to run the coach.
And 13 were on the list before tuesdays match and i heard on here people went to book afterwards but were told its too late.

Please see my previous post #37, the coach is not organised by the club.

OK. So 'the club' was being used as a generic term incorporating those groups under the Brentford banner. Won't do it again. But, maybe, 'The Club' could intervene and assist in supporting supporters, particularly those who desperately want to go to Tranmere. After all, we support them both financially and in providing the atmosphere that Scotty so often talks about.

Methinks that Tranmere-gate will not go away. Hell hath no fury as a scorned Brentford fan. I don't think 'The Club' can afford that at the moment.

The coaches have been subsidised on a regular basis for along time I believe. Where do you draw the line? How much would it have cost to run a coach to Tranmere and how long do they leave it before deciding there aren't enough takers.

If it was cancelled on Friday due to lack of numbers, they'd be taking the blame for leaving it so late. The whole thing is run voluntarily and independently of the Club.

Anyway, those 13 people were done afavour if you ask me.

Incidentally, it seems a little odd to complain about finances yet be able to afford the total cost of a day trip to Tranmere. There are probably hundreds of Bees fans who are prevented from going to away games (and home) due to financial constraints - why should 'The Club' give handouts to the ones that can afford it?

Exactly. That is why there should be a cut-off date published for booking seats on the coach. I have been informed that people do book seats at the last minute which they probably would not do if they were aware of a time limit. If, after the cut-off date, the coach trip would not be financially viable an announcement of cancellation could be made on the official site, allowing alternative arrangements to be made.

You sure it wasn't 5-1 jimbee, cos i went to a friday night game. and we finished with 9men. I think Keith Lawrence and our keeper ended up in hospital.

That's the one I mentioned earlier, Graham Horn, who I think had to have part of an ear sewn back on.

Tranmere used to often play home games on Friday night. The one I went to was when Cash and Bates got sent off.
