I'm not looking forward to washing the kit! It might be three shirts at a time!

If anyone wants to PM me their tel no, I can send texts if the game is off. I'm aiming to get there before 9.30.

If anyone has a problem making the match, pm me tonight or text me tomorrow - 07810 423912. Pull-outs due to a dislike of rain will not be tolerated

We lost 3.1 with only 10 men.
An inquest is to be held on Monday.

Five people dropping out between Smiffy's Friday update and kick off is stupid. Hopefully some informed Supes - who does a lot for Hey Jude - but obviously not everyone did, and you let the team down badly.

Jonesy scored the goal.
Mark was my MOTM.

The manager got the hump! My list on Friday was 17 but only 10 turned up on the day, and I was only notified about 2 of them! I had to ask Watford to ref the game and lend us a player - it was quite embarrassing. One of their players – players who had travelled a fair distance uncertain whether the match would be on – remarked ‘it seems like you’re the away team’! Fair play to them.

It was a decent match given the poor conditions. The HT score was 1-1 thanks to Jonesy, though he should have had another. We had the wind against us 2nd half but fashioned a couple of excellent chances which Jonesy really should have put away (for one of these, he had the ball at his feet 2 yards from the goal, but hit it wide - his baffling excuse was 'the ball wouldn't come down'...).

We failed to close down a short corner and their player hit a rocket into the top corner which I couldn’t quite get my head onto. I went 3-5-2 for the last 10 minutes but we couldn’t get through and they hit us on the break in the last minute to make it 3-1.

Well done to all who played.

We have held the inquest and will learn lessons from this defeat.

It is good, in some ways, that a defeat now hurts us (Supes, WEB and myself)
Only a few years ago, we were getting hammered 8, 9 and even 10-0.
We will be back and eager to beat Watford, in our next encounter with them
