Showed great vision at times tonight with some fantastic through balls. Still expect more from him at times he looked cumbersome where as on other occasions looked like the quality player his pedigree suggests.
Not sure you can really classify him as a striker which makes it even more vital we bring someone in asap. He seems to want to conduct things behind the striker rather than show ambition to get into goal scoring positions.
Few nice touches but still hoping for, more and want to see him really want to get on the end of something
May have been different if he had stuck that penalty away on his debut.
It would have giving him that bit of confidence he maybe needs.
Once a Bee..........
As I've said before my Charlton mate was gutted to see him leave. He said he was like Johnny Haynes who played for fulham many years ago.
zzzzzzzzz'' brentford champions'' zzzzzzzzzzzz
I don't mind him not scoring loads of goal - some would be nice though.![]()
I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
He's got an astute footballing brain and can provide a defence splitting pass on occasion that much we've seen unfortunately when twinned with the enigma formerly known as Clayton that is not going to shoot us into the play offs or automatic promotion. We need to see goals and his fitness levels improving to the point where he can actively harass and work defenders into making mistakes -uwe likes his in his strikers (or psuedo-strikers) to press from the front - something that Donaldson does brilliantly.
Hayes has shown an improvement but needs to step it up another couple of notches-everyone hopes he can do it.
I still have faith in him turning into a good signing.Mixed views on here regarding his last couple of games so can't be that bad when you think of how crap Tony Craig Craig was according to many a few weeks back.Might add are we seeing some "green shoots"regarding Scott Barron always think its best to keep your Powder dry before pulling the trigger.
I don't think anyone's writing him off just that he hasn't set the world on fire in the red & white as yet. Same with Craig, most people commented on the evidence of what was before there eyes, which at the time was some very mediocre performances. He's settled in well the last three games and looked solid and people have responded accordingly. Agreed that it is stupid to write players off on the basis of one poor performance but as in Craig's case it's up to Hayes to now show what he can bring to the party.
I agree dead right if a players poor in a game don't expect fans to post anything other than that. Its the send him back to Millwall and other pretty stupid stuff that's been posted that lm on about. The same with Hayes he might turn out to be a complete failure for us but when he gets a fair run in the side that's when I will judge him.

Back to topic. Think of Hayes as the modern Bob Taylor. but without the goals (as yet).
