It's largely about movement, positioning, striking the ball first time, nonchalance and a "don't give a ***k" mentality, and that's what Farid has got. Like him a lot. Donaldson might get the classier goals but Farid will be there to mop up.

IT's the most obvious statement to make in Football, but goals don't only win matches, they get you a point when you're having a bad day at the office and 2-0 with twenty to go. I think we need one more aspiring goal-getter, as cover, and we'll be sorted.

Would like to see Lee back in goal though, Moore has done well - albiet, without THAT much to do - but still think verbal commands coming from the back need to be stronger and I reckon better positioning might have stopped Crewe's goal

Unsure what role Hayes will play, I doubt he'd be happy as a sub, and so far you couldn't change a thing (save for left back)

More pressing will be the left back spot over long term although Barron is still finding his feet and if we stick to diamond formation who is the cover for Kevin?

Overall though what a squad with Legge Forshaw Forrester Hayes Lee Reeves Fredericks on the bench !

You HAVE to be kidding if you think Moore could have been at fault for Crewe's goal

7 goals between them now... if this carries on, then could score 59 goals..

He's like a proper centre forward, not intimidated, works hard and wins way more than he should in the air. Add in his goal scoring celebration and he smells of cult heroism

He is much better than I was expecting with the ball at his feet. Played well today and a good header for the goal.

Agreed. He has a great attitude and has made a mockery of those who thought he would struggle after the 'backwater' of the Scottish Firs Division. He works hard and is a decent finisher who gets into good scoring positions. his heading strength is reminiscent of a certain Mr G.Blissett. Can indeed become a terrace favourite.

We told you didn't we. He'll become a hero at Griffin Park as well as The Falkirk Stadium. We are missing him badly this year.

Very disappointing antics in a ten minute 2nd half spell today.
One hard tackle. He went down, then spent ten minutes tussling and not playing for the team.
Silly dive, waived on by the ref rightly, lucky not to be carded.

Otherwise he has been a real asset to the team, his hanging 2nd half header from Fredericks cross was unlucky not to find the net.

He actually has far more to his game than I thought he would. Like Clayton, not yet scoring the goals that his overall contribution deserves but I like him a lot.

He's half the player Clayton is so needs to score twice the goals.
I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

he'll score more if he was put as the sole forward,he wouldnt hesitate in getting on the end of the many chances/crosses created.
would like to see him with a partner up front,in a pair,a front 2.

I'm sorry, but unless I'm misreading your post, it makes no sense ? Are you suggesting he'd be better off as a loan front man or with a partner ?

It seems to me he is our best chance of actually putting the ball in the net, so I would like to see more of him in the box, goal hanging if you like. Forrester put two balls across the six yard box in the second half and there was nobody there to knock it in, I would hope to see Farid waiting there next time.
The search for someone to blame is always successful.

He works hard for the team but I'm not seeing much of a goal threat if I'm honest and I thought he should have been subbed yesterday not Clayton

You're right but centre forwards score most of their goals in the box and he was missing on a couple of occasions when Harry delivered perfect crosses.

Agree that the substitution was the wrong call. Farid had just had a kick on the back of the calf, he was losing his rag and could have ended up booked or worse, and he did very little for the last ten minutes. At the very least Clayton would have kept their defence more occupied and relieved a bit of the barrage we had to put up with at the end.

Thought he generally had a good game yesterday, but did lose it for a while, and I feared he'd do something stupid and get a red card (but fortunately didn't), and was out on his feet for the last 10 minutes when we'd already used all our subs
