This is not meant to be a slur on Pim's ability, but doesn't anyone of note look good against Hampton ? If your trying to say he looked fighting fit and raring to go ... I'm certainly pleased to hear that
Every day I think of my Lauren.
What Hobbsy said he certainly did look fit and raring to go in the 45 minutes he played. He was a commanding presence in an inexperienced back four. Yes it was against Hampton (no disrespect intended) but his attitude and general demeanour augers well for the coming season.
Looked very good again tonight, no heroics but proved he can defend, hold and distribute with a calmness of a much older and experienced player, give him a contract Uve.
Spot on BS. Brighton must be very strong in the left back position to have let him go. He has looked very good so far and although it has been against non league teams, comparing him to who has played in the team I would give him a good 7/10. Have a feeling that he may go to Germany with the team. The Bidwell signing seems to be going tit's up IMHO. If he isn't on the plane to Germany I will stop believing he will be with us this coming season.
Bidwell is in Austria with Everton isn't he ?
If Redwood doesn't go to Germany he may sign for the DS perhaps, is he a youngster ?
I think Redwood would be a perfect back up full back, very solid performance preferred him to Taylor in first half

Good news. While we're signing young attacking full-backs, maybe Jackson Ramm (right-back) is worth a look? Only 19 and has made a number of appearances for England youth teams and Blackburn's reserves. He's currently on trial at Colchester and the fans seem impressed, but he hasn't gone on their trip to Europe. Noticed the positive reviews when looking up how Bean and Morrison are doing there!

I think you'll find that "Development Squad" contracts, & budget, is kept separate from the first team squad playing budget & contracts. So it may benefit Uwe to utilise his budget for who he thinks are First XI players/squad members, but he also has the availability of the Dev Squad, to boost the first team squad, if needed.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have a 1000 reasons to smile
good news, not seem him play but hopefully him and some of the other DS players can push on and fight for a place in the 18 man squad on a regular basis this season
Approaching 21 and unproven in the League, a development contract is to be expected; he seems to be described as both a winger and a left back.

Two seperate budgets? Sounds like some sort of elaborate tax dodge. Like it.
Kevin O'Connor- substitute for a season and a half. A SEASON AND A HALF.

On the OS, the Thursday Press talk caries a number of items from the H. Cron but glaringly avoids the Leon Redwood article, does this mean they're negotiating with his agent or there's no truth in the H. Cron piece
It means that the update was prepared before the Chronicle article was published; it's not a real-time news feed.

Anyone know why we are giving a trial to another goalkeeper? Has anyone seen Richard Lee?
