Don't see any reason for him to leave as I believe he signed a new contract last season. There will be games where his style of defending will be required however would be surprised if he was first choice. He will need to develop his ball control if he wants to play week in and out but feel sure that he will be in the first team squad each week, probably on the bench
Surely he wont that though? I know he signed a new contract last year but look what happened with pim, must f been a reason to put him on a new deal. You wouldnt sign him to be on the bench and if he knew that im sure he wouldnt either. I dont think we saw the best of him last season due to injurys and changes in the defence but i hope he gets back to how we know he can play. Ruthless defending, sometimes you need that, defending is about lean sheets and midfielders and attackers go and score the goals!
Sounds like we've come out best on the deal, the Wall fans aren't happy with Osborne's pre-season performances.![]()
Football is not a matter of life or death, it's more important than that.
Ok , so a few games in , what the verdict so far ? Some one at Basingstoke said he couldnt jump , not a great attribute for a centre back !
Hypnotise the lot of 'em !
Only saw him against Hayes & Yeading.... his first Bees outing.....looked steady as a defender played it very simply when in possession. Didn't show much inclination to bring it out of the bavk four or spray 40 yard passed over the pitch but it was his first game. Sure others are in a much better position to add informed comment.
If its true from other thread we paid 150k for him, Millwall have certainly got the better deal, rather we spend 150k on a forward then a defender. I was a big Karleigh fan so I'm bias in judgement. I hope he is the leader we need to take us that extra step, but I also hope he isn't a Mackie.

It is interesting that our two new close-season signings so far, which you have to assume are ones we targeted and closed in on, are both more mature players that have the respect of their clubs' fans and are seen as motivational. With all the others young, it seems like good team building to me.
When the wind of change blows some build walls, others build windmills...
If Craig or Harle are injured, Leon is our other centre back. Also if i'm honest I fully expect Leon to push them for a place in the team and if i'm honest whilst Harle and Craig maybe Uwe first choice at present, i'm not convinced that either of them are better then Leon.
