still no left back then!
Good move all round. AFCW get good defender, Pim gets a new start, we get some of our playing budget to spend elsewhere.
Such a shame, it was over and the right time to move on but he should have been a right monster for us.
On my list of Ian Bolton type proportion letdowns.![]()
Far too old for a mid-life crsis

Hypnotise the lot of 'em !
he thought he was doing us a favour signing for us, and thought he was too good for league one in my opinion. in fairness when given a shot because woodman threw his toys out of the pram last season he looked like he realised his career was on the line and wanted to make amends but the damage was already done.
could have been a really good player for us but as it stands i'm not bothered he's gone![]()
Brentford ARE Back
As has been said its a shame that he was never quite able to replicate his loan form after signing but I did feel that we only needed one of him and Tony Craig and I know from speaking to AFC fans that he was excellent there and I hope he can be a real player for them.
Agreed. From a personal point of view If given the opportunity this year I think he could have fulfiled the promise he showed when on loan but that's just a personal hunch. Totally accept the when on loan but accept the financial argument against having him as a well paid squad member when there maybe cheaper alternatives. Looking at the squad we need CB cover (unless one of the Develoment squad is going to step up- Mawson) and obviously a left back (or two) as well.
I'd love to see Mawson more involved if we don't bring in any more centre half cover.
Despite him not really playing to potential once he joined, or him being loaned out last year, I thought he conducted himself pretty well. As far as I know he didn't kick up a fuss about not being in the squad, would regularly turn up to games he wasn't in any way involved in and seemed polite and well-mannered.
Just a shame it didn't work out, as we all know how good he could have been.
All the best Pim, you were a colossus against Leeds and we'll forget about MK Dons.
Good luck, Pim!
Best of luck to you Pim.
Are there any more of Andy Scott's 'old guard' left?
UR has done a remarkable job in changing personnel in a year.
No left back but Pim has been let go. Something or someone MUST be on the cards surely? Secret Squirrel Rosler is up to something I tells ye!
Kevin O'Connor- substitute for a season and a half. A SEASON AND A HALF.
