As already said by others very sad news. It was always great to see Mary at the turnstile and during games. A lovely lady who will be very much missed.

Thank you everyone for your kind words and everyone at Brentford, I know mum will be missed there very much jx
I first met Mary when we played Leeds away a couple of seasons back, she was running the coach that I travelled on. The plan was to come back via train after a few beers in Leeds centre after the game so would not be using the coach back to Brentford. Although I said that I would probably not be coming back Mary insisted on me taking her mobile number and made me promise to call her after the game and let her know what I was doing. She was concerned that the coach would leave without me if I changed my mind and wanted to make sure I got home ok. She was so friendly and caring I made sure I called her and confirmed that I did not need the coach. I was so impressed with the personal touch and care that she showed me that day I never forgot her. I saw her once more on the turnstiles and we had a little chat and I thanked her for her concern at the Leeds game. A really lovely kind person who I only met twice, but always remember her. Thoughts go to her family.
It was just one of those things....
Always used her turnstile and always had a joke, really nice person who will be sadly missed by her family and us.
RIP Mary.
I will miss your smiling face Mary.May God Bless You and may the Angels be with you.
Really sad news RIP Mary, she always had a smile on her face.
Only just seen this and it is really sad news. My two kids would always insist on going into GP through "Mary's turnstile". She got to know them both over the past few years and always asked after them if one missed a match. Also sat next to her at the Charlton away game the season before last and saw her at various other matches. She used to talk about one of her children, daughter I think, who lived in Australia and also her grandchildren. Very sad to see this and my kids will be upset when I tell them too. RIP Mary.
Sad news. I remember her young, and not so young boy, eagerly hurrying through the turnstiles.
Let's hope the club offer some dedication on the pitch before or at H/T during the first home game, or at least a mention in the programme to the stalwarts, stewards, and fans who've passed away during the closed-season.

Isn't it a shame the way our little world has changed
Only just picked up on this news a very sad day indeed. I last saw Mary at Charlton away last season but knew her and her brother Peter well for a while. She was a lovely lady who would always make me feel welcome at any Brentford match, home or away. A real credit to her family and to all at Brentford she will be very sadly missed. RIP Mary x
Mary was a massive Bees fan, a wonderful wife, mother, sister, a loveable lady with a very kind heart. I'm SO proud that she also happened to be my Auntie. I hope you enjoyed looking down on GP yesterday Mary?!!
xxx Always In Our Hearts!!! xxx
Only just seen this - really sad news. Mary was a lovely lady, incredibly friendly, I used to deliberately go through her turnstile to say hello and she was always full of banter - she would always be there to help out at the club on days where things we busier than usual, like selling tickets for big cup games etc. She will be very sadly missed. RIP Mary.
People laughed at me when I told them I wanted to be a comedian. They're not laughing now...
Mary Halder memorial plaque - Turnstile 12 on Braemar Road
In memory of Mary Halder, and her 25 years as a turnstile operator, BFC have mounted a plaque on turnstile 12 in Braemar Road in her honour.
Give her plaque a little rub for luck as you pass through.
Come on you bees.
Of course.

Fantastic tribute to Mary who i used to work opposite to into the turnstiles. She had a fantastic rapport with the fans and her enthuaism for all things Brentford was only matched by her love of her visits to Australia to see her family.
I really hope we win this one today for her!
