Spoke to him and assistants after the game....
Assistant said that the referee was shouting pass back 3-4 times before the keeper picked it up.....
The yellow at the end was because he felt our guy (can not remember who now - Fredericks maybe?) went in a bit rash apparently... I didn't think so, but never mind - his view is different to mine...
He also felt he had a good game, no complaints from any of the players.
However, I thought there were some puzzling decisions.. I didn't think it was a back pass. I thought the defender slid in to intercept the pass and the ball went to the keeper - I wouldn't say it was a pass to the keeper, just that was the direction it took.
The yellow above I mentioned I thought was poor, but as I said above, angles and views are different and will create different opinions.
A few free kicks I thought were strange too, with one sticking to mind in our half, where 2-3 players seemed to collide, the referee blew up and think it was Douglas responded as such like 'what did I do wrong ref?', to find he got given the free kick.
I thought the ref had no control over the game at all today. Players were taking drinks breaks whenever they fancied it. He was overly fussy with free kicks. Missed a couple of blatant elbows from them, and also didn't crack down on some play acting, and diving.
Mind you he wasn't helped by the lino on the new road side who was like a midget Right Said Fred.
Dickov was moaning at decisions going our way for the whole 90 minutes to the 4th official. How to upset both sides? Some refs manage it!
Whenever I have seen Fred Graham referee he has shown that he is not up to standard and misses the major decisions whilst giving free kicks for petty things. He was the referee of our away game at Gillingham when he sent Nathan Elder off which started the rumpus on the touchline between the two managers and showed his lack of control in that situation. He also comes across as very arrogant.
Just my opinion of course.

Bit late again. Tranmere officials
Robert Lewis of Shrewsbury
Joe Clark of Walsall & Michael Denton of Todmorden
4th official. Ken Haycock of Bradford
Without looking at any info of the top of my head i know Lewis is either a 2nd or 3rd year ref. I think 2nd year.
Joe Clark is a rookie linesman and Denton was 4th official at Bury.
Normal service resumes next time!
I'm not up to Boscombe Bee's level of research but Tuesday's ref will be Tim Robinson who is in his first season as a football league referee so can only assume he's never reffed us before.
Comes from Bognor and has only done 4 or 5 games (League 2) and this will be his first League One game - was on Conference and report on his game at Southend said he was totally inept. We shall see on Tuesday.

Ref yesterday completely out of his depth. Descended into a rugby match at times, too many stoppages.

"Failing to prepare, is preparing to fail."
I'm sure the nice upstart ref, rubbing his hands in glee as he steps up to his first League One game, will fall very quickly to earth on Tuesday when he enters the Referees dressing room (judging by how it looked in May- apologies if Ikea/ Homebase/ Wicks have been sponsored to spruce it up since then!)
I play for a fairly decent Sunday side that has FAR superior and more spacious team changing rooms (with two Number 2 Cubicles) and better ref rooms (albeit without the caravan kettle and 13" Akai miniature TV wedged in the top corner, as per BFC) and whilst Sunday League is obviously very slightly below League One, the changing rooms do differ in quality; from shit-hole park council that doubles as a rat-infested dung-riddled horse barn, to a freshly purpose built Chartered Club that puts a premier-level Travelodge entry-level room to shame)
In all seriousness, it's a bit shocking, really. As Alan Partridge in his latest comedy tour DIDN'T even think to mention, space is obviously limited in that corner of Bremaer Road but the ref dressing room looked FAR from adequate.
ON a subconscious level, can't exactly ENGENDER a ref to the home team!!
Granted, the Home changing room is acceptable - there's sufficient grey cushioning to the main bench to give it an 'air' of luxury, but the showers are Boarding School quality and there's only ONE toilet (side note: what happens if more than one player is having contraptions at half time?!) And the away room? Pah! No wonder away teams jog out with agression.
It doesn't help to display a huge signers framed poster of Zidane's famous World Cup head-but on the Ref dressing room wall
One of the above if a fib: of which merits a Trevor Brooking
However, there is one caveat - the talented ref IS reportedly journeying from BOGNOR REGIS.

As has been said previously indeed the ref is Mr Robinson of Bognor Regis who is a rookie ref. Noticeably PGMOL have been keen to get their rookie officials at a level higher than League 2 rather quickly this season compared to previous years. Had an amusing moment in his first game north of Dagenham at Chesterfield, where he had to be treated for cramp! Already we have had a spate of rookie linos this season. Although a rookie FL ref, Mr Robinson is no stranger to GP having run the line in the past here, most recently the 2-0 home defeat to Sheffield United last season.
He will be assisted by Mathew Buonassisi of Rushden and Barry Holderness of Wickford.
Again Buonassisi is no stranger to us. He is about the size of Tom Thumb an as folically challenged as Harry Hill. Seems to be well regarded in referee circles although every time i have seen him he has had a bit of a mare. He has a bit of a reputation for getting over involved. Most recently lined in the 2-0 win over Rochdale in March, and before that had a poor performance in the JPT at Charlton. Previously called Mathew McLaughlin. No idea why the name change but Im sure its none of our business!
Mr Holderness too is another familiar face to Bees fans. He lined in the defeat at Stevenage in April, and games against Charlton and Tranmere last season. A Blue Sq South ref.
4th official. David Avent of Northampton.
Listening to the game on Bees Player. Ref Robinson sounded a little out of his depth for his first League 1 match. Confusion over the penalty and some poor decisions. His appointment did surprise me somewhat as rookies are not normally fasttracked this quickly.
One of the linos was also said to be giving some poor decisions. That wouldnt be our mini me lookalike Mr Buonassisi would it?
On another note reading on the BBC site that ref Dean Mohareb was been arrested for hacking into a referee officials email inbox and passing the details to the media. So m sure we will never be seeing him again! He reffed 2 Bees games before, both last season. Our loss at Bournemouth and the 2-2 draw at Tranmere
How he mistook the assistants call for a penalty is amateurish... the signal is a flag across his chest, but he didn't do that and the referee gave a penalty... corrected his mistake..
Plenty of fouls I thought he overlooked too..
All 3 officials I thought were poor...
Pat Miller from Bedfordshire is ref on Saturday v Crawley. We have had him several times and he likes a red card or two - think he has already dished out 3 this season.Thankfully
I am going on holiday !!

Go easy on him boys.
Somewhat surprising for a ref in his 3rd year to be reffing a Bees game for the first time. Michael Naylor is from Sheffield and isnt the worst ref but is neither the best.
His assistants will be Adrian Gillett from Aylesbury and Ian Fissenden from Gravesend. Both linos are rookie linos, so in other words all 3 on field match officials are taking to GP for the very first time.
4th official. Nigel Lugg of Chipstead.
They are all going to be so disappointed with facilities when they all see them together...
