The starting 11 will be this

    Moore

    Logan
    Dean
    Craig
    Barron

    Douglas
    Dave
    Forshaw
    Saunders

    Donaldson
    El-Alagui

Possibly Donaldson dropping in to make a 4-5-1 when needed.

I think we'll start 4-5-1 with the flexibility to become more attacking as the game goes on. Not saying it's right and Bury are a team I would like to see us beating, but think Uwe will be wanting something from the game, even if it's a point.

    Lee (if fit)

    Logan Dean Craig Barron

    Kev
    Douglas Forshaw
    Saunders Forrester

    Clayton

Subs - Moore, Leege, Dave, Dallas, Farid, Fredricks, Weston

Haven't missed anyone glaring have I?!

    Moore
    Logan Dean Craig Barron
    Dave
    Douglas Forshaw
    Forrester
    Farid Donaldson

Take your pick with the subs. I think Saunders will start over Harry though.
Hard on kev. Hope Farid dead leg clears up.

Just because Douglas was last years player of the year it dont mean he cant be dropped. Douglas gave the ball away on numerous times against Walsall. Maybe he needs a reality check.

You ain't wrong, Douglas annoys me with performances like Saturday as he is a much better player than that, we got 15 minutes out of him when we we totally on top with 10 men but that was down to Dave and Forshaw winning the battle and suddenly Douglas turns up. He should IMO be winning that midfield for the others, he is a talented footballer, a big strong boy and a "leader" with loads of higher level experience. I rate JD but find him really frustrating more often than not, he didn't do enough IMO to start at the weekend whereas Dave, KOC and Forshaw did, like you say, a reality check and a kick up the backside might be needed. He'll start, you know it and so do I but he's a lucky boy.
Vote BLUNSTONE - maybe out of touch but closer than what we already have.

The Minstermen 1-1 Brentford is my prediction. remember going there first game of the season previously when they had just come up and it was 1-1 i think that day too. "we'll take 2000 fans and 200 lads to every away game in this division. millwall will get a shock". "well howcome you've only got 20 lads here for your first home game of the season then?". oddbod killed a bury fan to death that day allegedly iirc. Farid will score. :doesthatshirtburneasilycockney:

Minstermen? That's York isn't it? Thought Bury were the shakers... or has the Priory cured their DTs?

And someone said earlier they would play KOC instead of Logan on form, we've only played 90 minutes, so there is no form as yet.

Dave and Forshaw put some energy into us, I'd give them a go.
Agree with you drop Douglas he was very poor on Saturday and KOC was very good, Douglas looked to me to be a bit on the heavy side this season anyone else think that on saturday?

Cannot see how Uwe would even think of not starting El Aragui unless he is still injured, he is the only striker signed in the summer and is a goal scorer we need him to start and score goals, other wise we look pretty much like last years team and they were not good enough up front.

I think he will start on Saturday!

He did ok on his first season and I fully expect AB improvement this season. He played well on Saturday with limited service. You make it sound like he's hopeless which really isn't the case.

No, not totally hopeless, but not up to Lg 1 standard. Simple as, in my view. (which of course can be shite!!)

One of the young lads. I think it is time to take a gamble. It is looking increasingly unlikely that we are going to sign anybody (looks like our targets have all declined), so rather than persist with something we tried last season and which mainly failed, i believe we have little to lose by seeking alternatives within the current squad.

This is the season for Clayton to do want we brought him to do,score goals.Hopefully he will deliver and we will have signed another striker to put some pressure on him, something we don't have at present.Dont want to hear all this no service excuses he had and missed hatfulls of chances last season.I have high hopes for Farid to be our goal machine this season.

i was down at training ground earlier and El-Alagui was not to be seen.
Not sure his injury has cleared and not sure he is ready for Bury?
