    Richard Lee Or Simon Moore?

I think I know that Richard will win this poll by a mile. But just wondered what percentage agreed with me that Simon is the better backstop? So let's have a look .
    If we beat Southend.

Richard Lee. Moore is an excellent shoot stopper and has a great deal of potential but goalkeepers mature more slowly than outfield players and Lee has the edge in trms of handling and marshalling od his defence. Aspects of the game that come with experience. Moore will push him hard and keep Lee honest but I see Lee as our No.1.

See it's his handling that I have a problem with. I consider him to be a bit of a flapper .

Far more assertive and commanding than Moore currently is. Lee isn't the tallest of keepers but his few abberations are more than made up for by a much more commanding presence than Moore currently has. Saw that on Tuesday night when on several occasions the struggling centre halves weren't helped by Moore not being decisive. By the way that's not to say in anyway he was culpable for any of the three goals.

I would say at this present moment in time Lee just edges it overall but I think there will be a point when Moore surpasses him and makes the No1 spot his own. At the moment there is little between them hence why there is a bit of a battle for our No1

I can't put my finger on it but although they are both good keepers i feel slightly more confident with Lee in the team. Not by much and i couldn't tell you why. My gut feeling if you will, and mine is some gut !

Leah, my footballing shadow, would say Simon Moore, as he's better looking and fit.

    For me? Dave McKellar.

Either or really. Not fussed who is in goal. Both have attributes which may be slightly better than the other.

I'll agree with To Be Someone, Lee is currently our best goalkeeper but it's just a matter of time until that changes. Moore will be our number one, but not quite yet....

When he's announced as our starting keeper in no way do I feel we've got a weaker goalkeeper in place though. I still feel confident in him. And yes, Tuesday didn't go well but none of the goals were Moore's fault.

Mr. Lee for me, still think his anticipation for trouble is better, but I guess that will come with time for Simon.

Lee for now on several counts, but Moore has the potential to be No 1, time will tell.
It was just one of those things....

Thats about right although IMO Moore hasnt looked as good this season as he has previously. Shot stopping is fine but very poor kicking and needless time wasting has left me hoping Lee is back soon.

Its a lovely predicament to be in!! Lee is the better keeper atm, although I wish he'd learn to distribute the ball earlier..

Spot on. It can be infuriating watching Richard at times after he's caught a corner with Shay wanting the ball etc. Simon has better throwing distribution at the moment, kicking less so. Richard is a far better all rounder. For now. Simon Moore will become a top keeper in the years to come.

Moore did OK on Tuesday, kicking seemed fine and he threw the ball out well to the fullbacks.

Lets face it if we had won everyone would be voting to keep him between the sticks

Ricard Lee is the man for the job at the moment. To get out of this division we need experience in the goal. Moore's day will come but not just yet.
