Arthur and the family are still Brentford fans and i've seen Martin having a kick round with his nephew and nieces who have been wearing Brentford shirts as they have strong connections with my cricket club.
When Martin was released, I asked Arthur if he was going to QPR and he said I don't know that's up to him but I hope not.
As for the behind closed door issue, the only thing I know is that when Rowlands was in hospital with his leg injury which kept him out the majority of his last season with us, not one Brentford player went to visit him, make of that what you will.
One Day We Will Make The Championship, One Fine Day. What's The Point In Life If You Don't Believe?
Ps. Please note that all my anti-Rowlands comments are because I see him as a pantomime villain. Fair dos to those that actually know him and his family. I know him as well as I know Beyonce.
You may believe "Martin is alright" and whatever happened behind closed doors, most of us will never know; however, his actions & provocations towards us that night in W12 was outrageous and so disrespectful to genuine Bees fans - none of whom had anything to do with his behind the door problems at GP. The way those other inbreds like Bircham, Cureton, Gallen, McLeod etc acted that night didn't surprise in the least because, that's exactly how vermin are, but for Rowlands to purposely antagonise the Brentford fans the way he did should never AND will never be forgotten.

yep your right. But it's a football wined up. Hunty started all that stuff. Rowlands did something silly spur of the moment. I hate qpr as much as the next man. Trust me I get it in the neck evertime I walk into my local with qpr tosser but let it
go people. Martin is a nice bloke.

Rowlands can apologise, explain any politics that may have been involved, and bury the hatchet with Bees fans whenever he's ready IMO. To date, he either thinks he's done nothing wrong, or is unwilling to make peace. And until he does, he will get the usual treatment on Thursday. It's really that simple.
Can't wait for season 2012/13 already!!!

Orient seem on paper to have a half decent side with Lisbie, Rowlands, Cook and Clarke and had a tremendous win yesterday so I hope we can end our abysmal run at BR
what went on behind closed doors between him and Downes was between them, what Rowlands said in the paper the day of that game, and what he done on the night is unforgivable and dis-respectful to the Club that if we never offered him a contract he was to give in football all together and work full time as he wouldnt be able to do part time, his own words when with us.
certainly wasnt spur of the moment as it first started in an interview before the day of the game, and twice threw it in our faces that evening, during and at the final whistle.
from what ive been told, its certain actions of rowlands towards hunty that started the rift,Hunt will always be a legend to me for kicking the prick all over loftus road.
if martin is your mate, your not going to say hes a prick are you ?
At the end of the day, he acted an absolute tosser and didn't apologize. Nice guy or not he was out of order towards the supporters of our club and so deserves flack for that until he puts it right, no? He may have had a motive against the members of the CLUB, but that gives him no right to antagonise the people who supported him in his time here?
Probably fitting that a player with such a small time mentality went on to be a favourite at QPha, mind...
Everyone needs to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer.
This is a top post, like many that night I was there and could not believe what this **** did, he has NEVER apologised and probably never will, you could see the hate in him that night towards us, even if he walked into the centre circle at Griffin Park and burnt the piece of shit that is QPR shirt I still wouldn't forgive him.....I am sorry if people don't like this post but I have always wanted to hear that an opposition player has tackled him so hard that they have ended his career...over to you King Kev!!....the fact that I once had his name on the back of shirt makes me angry that I wasted money on his name ROWLANDS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE YOU ****

double break of a rowlands leg please who ever is closest at the kick off I'd ask clayton but he probably miss![]()
I remember at some point last season, I was at work and I was having my usual anti Qpr rant to a few colleagues of mine. One of them said "Why do you hate QPR so much?". I proceeded to tell them about the takeover business in the 60s and then "oh and another thing" and then relayed the story of THAT game. Needless to say, they both nodded in approval and said "yeah fair enough".
That's your opinion, but wanting a players career ended, by someone breaking their legs, isn't really warranted. You chose to have his name on your shirt. He chose to play for the Ra-Ra's. Rowland's made an on the spot decision to kiss the shites badge. Maybe if McCammon had scored we'd not be so resentful? All I want is to watch the bees win 3 points. That'll do me. Along with Rowland's being subbed with Cook. I have to angst with Mr Rowland's.
When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have a 1000 reasons to smile
It's all about opinions and we are allowed to express them if we so wish.
