Tony Ross. aka 'thatchambee' RIP (incl. Funeral Details)

I have just heard some sad and shocking news.

Tony Ross, known by many on here as 'thatchambee' and at home and away games with the tag 'mr angry' of the Ealing Road, has passed away, a true 'Bee', another gone too soon, only 55. I'm stunned. Only saw him last home game, briefly, with a 'hi rossy!'. Told some of the worse jokes going but you had to laugh or you'd have to buy the man a pint!! Mr angry is a harsh & unfair 'tag'. Should've be Mr Passionate. He lived for the Bees.

RIP and condolences to all his family and friends.

Jeez, nutty as a fruitcake but decent fella when you have a chat with him. A true Brentford stalwart who was a regular traveller and Bees through and through. RIP Tony.

This is incredibly sad news. Love him or not, Rossy has been a devoted Brentford fan since the early 1970's. The years never changed him, of that I can assure you, as I have enjoyed numerous binges and scrapes with him over the years. I never tire at telling stories of Tony's escapades over the years, whether they happened whilst following the Bees or playing for Brentford Athletic together in the 70's and 80's.

I don't get to see much of the Bees these days, but I sat with my good mate in the clubhouse at Walsall just two weeks ago having a pint and putting the world (and Uwe) to right. Our big decision was where to have a pint next Saturday (the Oldham match) as our favourite boozer, the Brewery Tap, was no longer what it used to be.

My heart goes out to his family, particularly his son Adam with whom my own children grew up with at Griffin Park and the various watering holes around it.

Rest in Peace good friend. It was an honour to have known you.

Very sad news, one of the stalwarts of away trips from way back in the mists of time.

Particularly remember his particular brand of support leading to him falling foul of authority away at Darlington on a Friday night back in the 80's and although I didn't necessarily agree with his many tirades, he was Brentford through and through.

They don't make them like him anymore and he'll be sorely missed.

RIP Tony and sincerest condolences to family and friends

Didn't always see eye to eye with him myself but overall he was a decent bloke who enjoyed his football and had a particular love for Brentford. No age to go either.

May he rest in peace and condolences to his family.

Very sad to hear of the passing of yet another Bee. I think I knew him - am I right in thinking Tony used to help out with the away travel on the coaches back in the 70s/80s? I didn't realise he was "thatchambee". Good luck on the other side Tony and my condolances to your family.

Was known as "Theatre of Hate" in our circles. He often apologised after calming down. Remember a female steward at Yeovil getting a massive hug at the end of the game last season as an apology.

RIP Tony; Another loyal and passionate Bee taken from us.

Gutted to hear about Tony... Had a chat with him at Walsall and briefly at the last home game (when he was berating Uwe) ... He was always great company and was a big bees collector who helped out with the last Big Bees book. Really regret never getting round to visiting his local and Brentford shed as we always planned. RIP mate.

I am stunned to hear the terrible news. So sad.

I had the privilege last year of going to his house to see his astonishing collection of Brentford memorabilia. His passion for the club could never be doubted.

What a terrible loss for his family.

    RIP

Used to shout "Dyke Out" to him whenever I saw him due to his slight resemblance of him. Was a character and will be missed greatly. RIP mate x
