Thread: Josh McEachran - Signs to June 2019

Behind Jota the most naturally gifted player we have but fast coming to the conclusion that he's a luxury who looks great when we're winning but ineffective when we're not.
He's a playground superstar and I'd play Romaine with Woods and Kamo before him.

    And not play Watkins?

Watkins in as well for me.

    Bentley
    Colin
    Dean
    Barbet
    Rico
    Woodsy
    Kamo
    Romaine
    Jota
    Watkins
    Maupay

When Sergi available I'd consider whether to leave out Romaine or Ollie

Like that. But certainly one of Sawyers and Watkins must start

I don't think Kamo and Ryan are playing got the same position. Kamo disrupts the oppo. Ryan sets our tempo.

    Neither will be back Tuesday

    Would be my midfield 3.

It will most likely be Canos for Jota. If dean goes we need a replacement and he must be a leader.

I honestly don't think he did a lot wrong yesterday tbh. He and Kamo were largely controlling the game until we scored; three bits of carelessness mean we are chasing it; he is then given 12 minutes to help turn things round. He should have been given longer IMO, with Flo making way for Ollie.

I'm not quite sure what that means. To me, it is the most forward central midfielder who determines the pace of play, either high-pressing or dropping deeper, so the other players follow his lead. Woods played holding for the majority of last season.

According to DS rolled his ankle. He is unfortunately a very fragile boy.

  18. Shame he had a great game up to that point

  19. Until he went off in the second half he was about as good as you will get at this level.. ran the game offensively and defensively and such a shame if he has picked up a serious injury, we will miss him big time.

Can't argue that he appears more fragile than most though! 😔

Was my MOTM, composing the match. Made a comment that I don't think I'd seen him complete a full match, and then he got injured. I hope it doesn't turn out to be as bad as it looks when someone goes off with the oxygen. Will be a big blow, but the boy seems to be made of glass.

Much like his injury away at Sheffield Wednesday in February, this one also seemed to be partially due to a collision with one of his own teammates?

No it was collision with one of them ref awarded foul against Josh

Another big loss. He was running the game and showed that as we couldnt hold the ball at the end.

  29. The story of Josh's bees career in a nutshell tonight. Was outstanding & involved in everything that was good about us....and then gets injured. Gutted for him, hopefully it's not as bad as it looked as all of a sudden we've gone from too many midfielders to thin on the ground.

Really gutted for him. I hope it's not as bad as it looked but unfortunately with Josh, it often is.
