There's a couple of half-decent Who tribute bands knocking about I believe that I'd definitely be interested in seeing. A few Stone Roses bands as well, though they could be a bit pricey.
Not a tribute band, but Simon Folwer of Ocean Colour Scene will turn up just about anywhere these days so that could be worth looking into.
"Don't act like you're not impressed...."
Where's the option for the who??

I agree with those above, The Wholigans were pretty good a few years back and I'm sure there are others about.
I see THE best band in the world are starting to run away with the poll !!!
The nutty boys at the top, as always.
Don't shoot the messenger
I've added The Who but I think the cheapest tribute band has some guy called Leroy Rosenior as lead singer![]()

Infact, I would go as far to say that they're better than the current cabaret act that constitues the 'real' Who.

Totally agree...they were bollocks! The Bootleg Beatles are quite good in my opinion but not exactly 'rocky'Originally Posted by Brentford Bob

Come on you Bees.
The Gay Bikers on Acid dressesd up in drag as their own tribute band.
Lesbian Dope Heads on Mopeds.
Limehouse Lizzy are the best I've seen.
Made a tentative enquiry about them a few years back.........retreated hastily when £8k was mentioned as a "starting point" for discussions!! They`ve played Anfield etc and are a bit too "big time" for Stripes......unless we charged @£50 a ticketOriginally Posted by AshfordBee

Too big for this league.....
Not sure if many Bees fans are into the Kinks, but if so, these guys are supposed to be really good:

I think the problem is other than people like me, most people don't know who they are. Still, if you get these guys down, I'd be there in a flash.
TOGETHER, WE STAND DEFIANT
Good call on the Kinks. Sunny Afternoon, what a song.
A decent Stones or Jam band would be great. Have it the night of a big home game and hope to lure back the blokes who drink in Brentford after the match.
Who the feck voted for Blondie?![]()
Limehouse Lizzy are quality. Used to play the Grey Horse in Kingston so booking them for Stripes Shouldn't be a problem!!! I'd go.Originally Posted by Low End Bee
Bootleg Beatles. Pricless. They play "live" many tracks the originals never managed to do - Paperback writer, tracks from Sgt. Pepper, Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, While my guitar gently weeps, the list is endless.
Make a date to see them at the Albert Hall this November, Tuesday 28th. I promise you, you will not be disappointed.
Incidently, Neil Harrison who plays John Lennon, could be John's twin brother and has released his own brilliant Beatlesque albumn, "Richmond Hill".
Proof of the pudding? : Try this for starters :-

Saw them at Shepherds Bush last year. ****ing brilliant, not just the singing but the whole act and manerisms would have you thinking they were the real things.Originally Posted by IverBee

Yes, forgot to mention the manerisms and humour. Absolutley authentic.
I saw them a few years ago just after the BBC vote for the "Best Britain of all time", quite rightly one by Winston Churchill. John Lennon came seventh in the poll.
During the show, "John" announced that he was handing back his MBE on account of that "BBC thing",
"and I write better songs than Winston.....". Pure Lennon, perfect.

I wouldn't mind seeing any of the ones mentioned.
I saw both The Jamm and One Step Beyond at Shannons in Hounslow but missed them both when they played at Stripes, so wouldn't mind seeing them back.
BTW Any more Mod and Scooter Nights?
Limehouse Lizzy are quality and have an excellent following, top drawer, get them on please
Thanks for the feedback![]()
Keep it coming please, its all noted and enquiries are being sent left right and centre to secure some of these bands although some simply want too much money, mind you its their living for some of these tribute bands.
We have our own terms and with capacity limited to 180 can only go so far on £`s...
{One Step Beyond already provisionally booked for next season, date TBC}
Too big for this league.....
Pete, just out of interest, in the past how many people who aren't Bees fans have turned up to see tribute acts at stripes?
