Bees sign Pettigrew and Hamer - Brentford FC

Brentford have further strengthened their squad today (Friday) when they announced the loan signings of centre back Adrian Pettigrew from Chelsea and goalkeeper Ben Hamer from Reading. Both have signed one-month deals.

Pettigrew, 20, is yet to make his Blues debut and joined Division 2 rivals Wycombe Wanderers on loan last season but made just the one appearance, returning from his spell early after his first team chances were limited. 19 year old Hamer is also yet to feature for Reading but spent last season on loan at Crawley Town where he impressed enough to earn himself a further year's contract at Reading.

With only two centre backs available for tomorrow's game, Terry Butcher has signed Pettigrew after missing out on Garry Richards and unable to sign trialist Brent Sancho. Hamer joins as recent signing Simon Brown is thought to be struggling with injury.
