    Join Bees United?

I mean, come on - what harm can it do?

The BFC board now has well meaning fans putting in a lot of effort in all the key positions. Loans have been rolled forward, more money is being made available for the team next year. I personally have a warm, fuzzy feeling about next season.

Why not help add to that "feel-good" factor by sparing a few quid to join Bees United or even better a few quid more as standing order. Every little helps (best said in a gruff cockney accent). Here's the link - it's would take long I don't reckon.

Ok then, give me one good reason why not. :tapsfoot:

Disclaimer : This is a discussion started by me and has not been discussed within anyone in BU. I apologise if it crosses over anything else being done. It's just, you know - the sun's out and I've not got loads on, workwise, for once.
I intend to live forever. So far, so good.

I wanted to become a member. About 2 months ago I send an e -mail to them.I got a very quick replay saying that it was possible and that I can pay with paypal.
But I can't pay with that and say that I want to pay with my Mastercard.
Till now I haven't hear anything.

You can send money with your Mastercard by using Paypal.

As Banana says, you use PayPal as the means for getting money from your Mastercard to Bees United.
By clicking on the PayPal banner on the BU site you can click the 'don't have a PayPal account' and then it will ask you for details of where you want the money to come from.
There is no such thing as TRYING.

You either have done it or you haven't.

I think you'd struggle to find one to be honest Les. There seems to be a very different feel about the place in recent months. Various things have happened this season, and certainly in recent months to make me, and I'm sure others, feel very much more part of the Club.

We certainly seem to have a higher calibre of people involved at Board level than we've had in a while, and moreover, the fact that many of them are genuine Bees fans and have the club's best interests at heart gives me great confidence.

In terms of personal experience, to have so many BU and BFC Board members taking the time to send texts or make phonecalls to check on our progress during the walk last week really made you feel as if those at the club cared about what you were doing. I'm not sure you'd get such support from many other clubs.
Any idiot can face a crisis. It's the day to day living that wears you down.

I have always felt they have been the only real option even through the "rough" times of a year or so back.

However you canot please everyone and views differ. There are a bunch of "old timers" who stand on the left side of the ER near the floodlight, who literally spend the whole game slagging off BU, convince them and you can convince anyone.

If I'm right in guessing what that reason is - wouldn't it be a better idea to join, so that you can have a vote when it matters?

There will be plenty time for that nearer an election if and when it happens.

In the meantime, I'm with Greenholme and many others on this one. It's not so much a particular reason that is stopping me joining BU, it is a particular person.

I'm backing your call for people to join BU, and not come up with with silly excuses.

I can't imagine anyone thinking that the correct response to disliking Gordon Brown as PM would be to ask to have your name removed from the electoral roll.

Although I would say that if anyone can't rise above things at an individual level and see a bigger picture, more fool them. The way I see it, I give money to BU, it goes to the football club. I don't see that anything that any individual BU member odes can affect that process in anyway, except if they changed the rules to stop that happening. At which time, I would stop. BU is a conduit to the club to me, nothing more.

Anyway, if you don't like it, perhaps join Lifeline instead - unless you find some reason for not liking some individual in that organisation.

I do of course realise that asking Greenholme Bee to justify his support is wholly inappropriate, given what he does for the club.

Just don't spoil my moment of happy, positive thinking. Nasty people.

    No issue with that.

I do wonder what the heirachy do though.

There should be a rolling membership drive, but there isn't.

If someone would like to contradict me on that, they are more than welcome, but they will be talking out their rear end.

I have had no informaion from BU for over 12 months.

Perhaps they have lost my address, email, who knows (with several BU Board members involved in the GPG, it can't be that difficult ), but they should be a little more proactive, even if they know, they will get a feck off.

carry on badgering and eventually it might just work, alternativly, don't try then everyone thinks you don't give a flying toss and you don't need their support.

I have been a member of Bees United since it was formed and this forthcoming season will not be renewing. The total lack of professionalism shown on this board by members has contributed to me withdrawing any financial support.Sad but true.

They are a bunch of amateurs and I shall not be joining such a sham, especially when Dyke is still here.
