Default Leyton Orient (A): Press Conference Notes

Andy Scott Quotes:
“We’re going to struggle. We can’t defend. They’ve had probably four shots on our goal in the whole game. We’ve conceded two goals again.

Five shots against Bristol Rovers, they scored three goals. Yeovil the same with terrible goals.

We had all the pressure, the possession, all the chances, yet long clearances we can’t deal with it then we end up in our half for the next five minutes. It is not good enough. Not from experienced players.

You would think that we don’t actually do anything in training. Yet we’ve done hours and hours and they do it well in training yet can’t take it into games.

We’re going to struggle. We should be beating teams. No disrespect to Orient but we’re a better side than them, but it is OK me saying that but we lost the game.

The table isn’t worrying me. The way we’re playing is. Going forward we had Cleveland Taylor who came in and was very direct and as the game wore on he got a lot of crosses in and we got the ball into the front men’s feet but we need a bit more quality in and around the box to hit the target a bit more.

We probably had more crosses and shots on target than we’ve had for a long time but we conceded two goals. We can’t keep going somewhere and having to score two or three goals to win games. It’s not possible.

Yes, Marcus is suspended next week. I might possibly bring someone in on loan.

They’ve put themselves in a position where there is every chance there could be changes.

You only turn it around if you are consistent. It is no good doing it once [at Hartlepool] and then not being able to do it again. Consistency is the key in this league. Going forward we looked very good and created some good chances but we are always vulnerable defensively. Lack of information and poor decisions. Scott McGleish has been around a long time, he was able to put our back two under pressure.

Nobody has given us silly goals this season but we’ve given plenty away.”
