Chile could be thrown out of 2010 World Cup

Apparently, Chile have been threatened with expulsion from the World Cup if one of their clubs goes to the civil court to try to overturn a ruling by the Chilean FA. According to Marca.com (in Spanish) the club have dropped their legal case because of this threat. Isn't this a rather disturbing situation? Imagine if Sheffield Utd had been bullied into dropping their civil action by the threat of England being thrown out of the World Cup. |
