Kevin O'Connor: Out for the Season.

Ten years ago today Kevin O'Connor made his debut for Brentford, away at Exeter City in the LDV Vans Trophy.

It's a magnificent achievement to be ten years at any club. After Jamie Bates left I thought it unlikely we would see another Brentford player serve so long, given players tend to move around quickly these days.

To have been captain, lose the armband and then re-gain it shows you the type of player Kevin is. It's great to report he's a really nice fella also. I really hope now he goes on and smashes Ken Coote's record, time is certainly on his side.

Have you asked Arsenal to come down for his testimonial?

Top player, nice guy. Super Kev
Tevez and Torres up front? I would prefer Donaldson and Grella!

He's seen some up's and down's during his time and the fact he is still going strong and remained loyal is testament to the guy's character. Well done and at 27 you still have a good few years left!

Tremendous achievement by a fantastic player, and agree with the comment re the captains's armband. Would Kev consider writing a book I wonder, as I am sure some of the events over the last 10 years could be very illuminating.

Loyalty is in very short supply these days, Kevin has really demonstrated his over the last ten years. Plus of course considerable skill and determination. Thank you Kevin.

I've been to quite a few.

Remember one of Denis Pigotts when we beat Everton 3-0.

Put him in touch with Northampton Bee, come to think about it maybe some of our famous ex/current players could write a chapter or is it just for supporters?
