Burnley sang to Jay Rodrigues - he's one of our own , he's one of our own Jay Rodrigues he's one of our own. How bout similar song for king kev?
We have two:
Super Kev O Connor....
Hes Brentford till he dies....
So bearing in mind a decent display from Kev in a dismal result, does O'Connor start at RB on Sat at Gigg Lane ?
Too early to drop Douglas after one off day, and with a Left Back expected, where will we put Logan ?
What a quandry![]()

Glad to see a respite from O'Connor baiting on here (no reference to above poster)
Easy answer Smiffy, he starts with Logan or he's lost his mind.
Far too old for a mid-life crsis
logan right back, Douglas in midfield and O'Connor on the bench
you can't base the next team on the previous performance though, Otherwise next week players like Logan and Douglas won't be playing and Weston and Toumani should start. I think next Saturday is a fresh start for the under-performers yesterday aswell as it being a début for a new LB, Farid and possibly a new striker.
I agree he is a good player, but as we saw last season his passing doesn't usually end up with the ball in the back of then net, he goes missing in games too often and other than his passing ability he doesn't bring much else, not the best crosser of the ball, doesn't have a decent finish and he can't tackle to save his life at times. He has moments of brilliance where I wonder why he isn't at a higher level, especially as he is still young at 25, but likewise with Myles starting him is a risk, Especially as IMO we are fairly well equipped in that department and it would be harsh not to start Forrester or Forshaw next Saturday.
New left back at... LB and Logan at RB. O'Connor as the defensive midfielder with Foreshaw and Douglas or Dave in front, pot luck with any attacking players, none did themselves any credit yesterday.
When the wind of change blows some build walls, others build windmills...
KOC bench. Forshaw has to start head and shoulders above anyone when he came on.
I'd agree. Whilst Kev's performance will mean he'll be very unlucky to miss out, Logan is a better option at RB, assuming of course that a LB does come in and he's not needed to cover there again.
What yesterday did show was that Kev is a more than reliable deputy when called on and he'll feature regularly this season for that reason IMO.
Ah well dreading Bury game, seems Saunders Forrester Reeves Douglas Weston Logan to name Few are crap.Forshaw and Kev are the way forward with Martin back as manager.God help us.
Very unlucky for the goal, Kevin made a great challenge/block but the rebound fell to unmarked player.
He got wide and forward a few times and put a couple of crosses in and won a corner.
Motm for me
King Kev in midfield - I still think he will prove to be our most consistent player next season.
I get the fact that he isn't 'the most dynamic', but he rarely puts a foot wrong and makes the team tick.
He would be the first name on my teamsheet week in week out.
400 up tomorrow? Possibly.
