Not great I am afraid, we had 80% possession 2nd half and mustered 1 effort on target in the 96th minute.The instructions are clearly to play the ball on the ground and even in the 95th minute Lee rolls it out to the full backs rather than kick so that is a positive. Liera is only one who hoofs it and he does that EVERY time he does it Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Weston again was woeful and wasted countless crossing opportunities. Mcginn looks brilliant at times but over does it at others. Kev went to RB second half as barcham was tearing the young lad a new arsehole and kev duly put barcham in his back pocket for the rest of the game and s****horpes only threat was gone. Back 4 was fairly solid but little to defend against.
Donaldson looks a shadow of the player we signed, he is so low on confidence, the guty never got 1 single chance all game. Clarkeson is an average journeyman CF, slow, physical, wins a few headers, makes a few flicks but basically the same as 100 other CF I have seen in this division.
Douglas tried really hard to drive us forward second half to no avail, bean was his usual energetic but slightly headless self, Dave controlled the first 20 until he got injured

S****horpe are a bunch of cloggers who could easily have had 6 yellows and 2 reds by half time but the ref felt constant warnings and a pat on the back was more appropriate. They were then allowed to run the clock down last 20 with the most outrageous time wasting with a mixture of swapping throwers 3 times, kicking/throwing ball away etc etc and the ref told them to hurry up but took no action.

We really should have punished this team but unfortunately we were too crap. We look like a disjointed group of players who had never met before, I just don't get this constant messing with the players and formation every game, it is so unsettling.

Grella looked tricky when he came on but he is better fooking off somewhere else cos he wont get his chance here I fear. I thought the bench was so negative, there was no one on there who could change a game, we had a goaly..OK, but then Kev, bean, wood and grella. Why is forrester not given a go, has anyone seen what he looks like yet?

4900 today, it will be 4500 next game. It is all good and well playing OK away from home but home form/performances are as bad as anything under butcher, rosenior, fitzgerald or downes in my opinion.

Agree with all the above. Said to one of the guys who I go with that attendance was poor at the start of the game. Wont be getting many more through the gates with games like this. First time this year with a season ticket, not looking good value at present. Hopefully more than a few changes in January.

First half i thought defensively we were awful and very disjointed. This was possibly due to every time we had the ball a S'Thorpe player would clatter into them and usually get away with it, Llera was poor and kept hoofing hopeless balls into touch. Second half we were miles better with McGinn murdering whichever full back he was against, but no final ball. They rightfully had their left back sent off after what seemed like their 300th foul, but we still couldnt take advantage even though Douglas tried to drive us on all the time. More awful timewasting by most of their players and that was that

Forrester is injured but I agree it was miserable. They were happy to kick us all over the place and the ref was happy to ignore it.

Suspect that Osborne, Saunders, Adams and Forrester were all injured or I'll. We looked a bit flat and disjointed and we really lacked pace at the back against small and nippy attackers.

Scunny kicked us around and losing Dave was a blow as we never got supporting players in the box. kOC gave a masterclass performance to snuff out Bircham but we created far too little.

I wonder if Clarkson will have his loan extended as he doesn't seem to gel with Donaldson but he should have scored with that header.
Grella is still a question mark too.

We need to get our injured players back and regain our verve but today was not great to say the least.

Can understanding us trying to play football and keep the ball instead of hoof ball but we are so pederstrian as the ball is played backwards or sideways and not in front of the player to run on to. Thus any attacking momentum is lost.

And why when we have an attacking throw in level with the oppos box does it invariably end up back on the half way line for Leira to smash it long!!?!

I walked out of Brunton Park last week bouyed by our late equaliser but left todays game very downhearted. It was an awful game and we never had any real impetus about us today. In fairness no one ever goes out to play poorly and everyone had a collective off day. Scunny had two great chances in the first 15 and we lost Dave who has looked sharp since returning. The only positive note was that we got a point but we are a different team away from home. My pal texted me at 1455 to tell me he had lumped on us at 55/1 to win four nil. So he is to blame for the nil nil!!! A shocker of a game.

Might be an idea to start him occasionally rather than expect him to change the game in the last 20 minutes each week.

Apparently a 'sickness bug' in the camp; the reason Diagouraga went off and Saunders was not on the bench. It still does not account for woeful crossing/corners, weak headers and spells of passing every ball to the opposition.

I can't see it's got anything to do with changing the team, that's always going to happen. Consistent performances are not the same as consistently the same players. S****horpe were clogging, elbowing and generally taking the piss out of the ref but we've got to expect teams to come and play like that at GP.

We huffed and puffed but never really looked like scoring.

Didn't help losing Dave who was controlling things and it went kind of flat from the moment he was subbed.
Anyone know why he came off?

To be fair to Douglas he stepped up and took the game to them at every opportunity. McGinn looked a class act ax well and just wish he could have get into the really dangerous areas and have a goal threat.

Gary A is sadly missed which concerns me and still hoping that UR and Warbs are still trying to find someone to play alongside Donaldson. I thought he did ok but again he is a centre forward and bought to score goals and he didn't have a shot on or off target all game.

I like the way we still try and find feet and don't hoof it long immediately but notice that the New road groaners are in full moan when we do try and play it out from the back or dare to go back when nothing on.

Disappointing but not disaster, we deserved to win but need to create more clear cut chances and take one of those we do do cut out.

So it's our 3rd season back at L1 level and we're still no closer to curing our biggest weakness - scoring goals at home. Without checking we struggled to score 1 a game in the first season back, probably not much better than that last season and we're averaging around the same again this season, with 2 goals in our last 5 home games. Simply not good enough if you compare it to our play off rivals - although I doubt they see a team that can't score at home as a rival.

We've gone through Strevens, MacDonald, Cort, Kabba, Alexander, Donaldson, Clarkson, Grella, Weston (when he first arrived), Grabban, Simpson, Forster and Schluup - and not found the player who can deliver consistently at this level. The finger has been pointed at the lack of creative in our midfield, but with Saunders, Dave, Myles, Douglas and McGinn I believe we have enough in that area. How many balls were crossed in the box today (plenty) and how many did we get on the end of - none. How many corners did we have (a fair few) and how many chances came from them - none. How many balls were bouncing in the box waiting to be tucked away (lots) and how many times did we get to it first - none. Stick a decent forward in the box and he'll score.

A team who doesn't score goals is always going to be nervous and we look very nervous playing at home. The defense looks shakey and it's because they know if we conceed once, we'll probably lose or at best draw. I want Donaldson to suceed, but he doesn't look like a goalscorer to me. Clarkson was back to average and who knows if we'll see him again. Grella came on with some nice touches, but was always 10 yards away when he needed to be on hand to stick the ball away. And we all know that Alexander is 12 goals a season at best.

Was happy with the starting line up and a shame that Dave went off. 90mins of him in home games could make the difference. Surprised that no SS on the bench. Against a team who haven't kept a clean sheet for a very long time we didn't even look like scoring. They were a niggling average kind of a team, but will be happy enough that they came for a draw and got it without many scares. McGinn was our biggest threat, but as usual we decided not to get the ball to him for the first 25mins.

Much to improve Uwe. Sooner or later the away form will receed and we'll be mid table nowhere.

Poor first half, we controlled the second but never looked like scoring

The forwards were awful, no anticipation from Clarkson especially when Mcginn put in a blinding cross, no anticipation from Donaldson from a Weston cross, we are always on the back foot on our heels.

Donaldson seems to be getting worse every week and Grella is worth a go as hopefully we have seen the last of Clarkson who missed an absolute sitter from 3 yards.

KOC did well when he came on, Eger did well today especially with Llera next to him who is a liability.

2 goals in 450 minutes and 2 points out of 15 makes depressing reading...even more depressing being there today...you just know that they are capable of better but our home form is relegation stuff not play offs. We could easily have been 2 down by half time as our shaky looking defence almost imploded...Scunny will reckon they should have won it by half time. Second half was better but the final ball was always overhit or lacked composure also our set pieces are terrible ..weston simply isnt good enough to be taking corners they pose zero threat.
We try and play the ball around at the back but its pointless if it ends up in Llera just launching it long...Lee may as well do that...what we need is someone to carry the ball foward ..Douglas did it a couple of times in a slightly improved second half then we can try and pass the ball further up the pitch....we also are crying out for a smaller nippy foward who can hold the ball up and score some goals ...they don't grow on trees ...anyone seen a Schlupp mk 2 out there ?....Clarkson simply isnt good enough and Donaldson has really gone backwards alarmingly after a mom performance v Col U...the period after they went down to 10 men was dire...did we test their keeper at all ?....depressing stuff but within the squad i still think we have a team capable of a decent tilt at the playoffs with perhaps just a single addition of a goalscorer ...sort it out Uwe !

We do need more cutting edge though, that I do concur.

It seems now SUCH an effort to string a few simple passes together! Absolute shit today. Back to the usual Brentford hoof into channels and chase zzzzzzzzz

I'll go with better than hoofball but it's passing with no real end product, all we have is "give it to McGinn and hope" IMO, I found the hoofball dire and this a little less so but it's frustrating stuff at the moment. We were passed off the pitch at times today, Knill is a clever manager but his team are lowly for a reason, we never looked like really breaking through, they on the other hand looked more threatening in posession. All IMO and probably brought on by tiredness after a late night arrival home last night, that was not good again today. See you in Hooters, I fear for us next week though.

IMO, Llera was a massive reason why we didn't play well today because he gave the ball away almost every time he got it, which was a lot. I don't get the logic of letting your centre backs dictate the play - they're centre backs because they are generally not the best footballers.

I think we offer so few options, I think the forward players tend to hide and leave hoof as the only option too many times.
We are small, not very creative, too nice (KOC said sorry for leaving a leg in on his namesake after watching him kick out and leave many legs in up until then FFS) and afraid to to shoot.

Did anyone else notice the 4th oaff let the sC.U.N.T.hopre manager and second in command stand in the tech area all game, yet anytime one of ours went to talk to Uwe he told them to sit down?
I know Dave was unwell and went straight home after coming off but cant see why Uwe made changes.
