I certainly don't have "inside info". All I'm suggesting is that if nothing happens before the Germany trip, the pre-season warm-up programme will be all-but-finished before we have anyone to play at left-back and I would think that's far from ideal. The only real option for left-back (assuming that Craig needs to be bedded in at central defence as that's where he says he been bought to play), is Pim and it's pretty obvious that he's not in Rosler's plans. In fact, I do wonder whether he would even travel to Germany if there was anyone else?
I would love Bidwell to return - but soon!
Bidwell isnt the only young attacking left back in the country, relax . Everton have another who was on loan last season at Cheltenham ,hes supposed to be better than " biddy ". After that Uwe can trawl through his hit list Bidwell isnt his last option
Biddy sounds gay btw
Hypnotise the lot of 'em !
If he stays at Everton then thanks for last season, I have confidence in our Managerial team that in the event that he does not come our way they have other players on their radar
Would be nice to have the position resolved sooner rather than later however History shows that transfers and loans continue up to the start of the season
Think we need to chill. The Craig aquisition came out of nowhere and it seems that the club are pretty good at keeping the lid on things, for the most part, to avoid letting other interested parties in on the act and getting scuppered as would seem to have happened with Robertson.
I am sure that the LB situation is being addressed and that come the opening day A.N Other will be on the teamsheet.
Agree with that, The management are obviously working away behind the scenes like they did with Craig, and I am fully confident as well that come the kick off they will have the right men in position, It would be nice if Bidwell returns, but not holding my breath, as I think he might be loaned out to greater heights than us, and this is nothing less then he deserves for his outstanding performances last season that would not have gone unoticed by other clubs, lets just be thankful we got him first and I hope we watched a future star in the making.

Had expected to know by now...
Maybe with the cancellation of Pim and Woodman's contracts, we are freeing up the wage bill to actually sign him instead of loan him...

In my opinion, the only way we can get Bidwell is if we buy him. Why would Everton want to loan to a level that he's already succeeded at? He'll either be on their subs bench or they'll get rid. I think he'll be loaned to a championship team unless we can purchase him.

Why?
He's only 19, they currently have an international left back so he's unlikely to be contesting a first team start with only 20 odd league games at a lower standard under his belt. However, a first team start in a side where he's playing the right style of football, enjoying it and benefiting both clubs is better than playing in front of a few hundred at best in the stiffs. Selling him means they have to find someone else and why loan him to another club when he obviously gained so much from his previous spell here.
For what it's worth I may be well off the mark but given Alan Stubbs praise of Bidwell and our part in developing him last season coupled with the fact that Forshaw chose to join us suggest Everton might be happy to have us continue to nurture him for them.
Wheels within wheels . Us signing Bidwell is now somehow dependent on some lad getting a chance at Man U?! This is like exchanging on a house!
See I heard Rob Brady is getting a chance at Man U because Blackburn are interested in him so Ferguson is getting him in the old shop front window. But Blackurn buying him depends if they can offload want away ex QPR defender Bradley Orr. Orr has been sniffed about by Millwall who could pick up interest as they are looking for more defensive cover..... but wait! They just signed Osbouuurne!
And so the house of cards falls down.
Kevin O'Connor- substitute for a season and a half. A SEASON AND A HALF.
Who knows, it's all paper talk I was only making the point that just because we want Bidwell now, there is no rush for Everton to allow a 3rd or 4th choice full back to leave until just before kick off.
They know they've got someone willing to take him on a long loan, we're probably not paying any significant contribution to his wages so why should they look to agree to anything this early when they're unsure who they'll have to choose from.
