If all goes to plan and he continues to improve, we will have a big player on our hands. We lacked leaders last season, I see Harlee as potentially one of the youngest but one of the biggest personalities and hopefully a leader in waiting.

Vote BLUNSTONE - maybe out of touch but closer than what we already have.

Who knows, he's a big, strong, confident, intelligent lad who seems grounded and learnt very quickly over the dozen or so games at the back end of last season. I think he looks like a mature head on young shoulders and aside from two (?) poor performances looked assured, commanding and a good communicator in most games, even more impressive given he was up against some very decent, experienced centre forwards and established himself as the first choice centre back ahead of Leon and Karleigh.
I'd say he could be a very important player as long as he continues to learn and not get too carried away with the hype.
This fella is absolutely on fire. Is anyone else amazed that Southampton let him go? The enormity of this signing reminds me of getting Michael Turner.

...............Had a very good game yesterday, good with his feet as well as in the air...........
.....The few who do,are the envy of the many who only watch.................
He is good, potentialy very good. Would expect bids for him in January if he progresses.
Was clearly delighted with his goal yesterday! ... but I guess we all were![]()
Also a fan of Texas Rangers, UT, Dallas Cowboys, Mavericks and Stars!
A future captain and leader in the making.
I'm surprised Southampton let him go, I'm even more surprised they let him go for nothing. Strikes me as a player who they could have loaned out a few times and then pushed into their first team. Their loss is most certainly our gain as he is easily one of the best centre backs I have seen at GP in the last 3 or 4 years
If they didn't get promoted they probably would have kept him imo
we wouldn't of paid compensation I don't think, with Forshaw we had to but Everton offered him a contract where as Southampton didn't offer Harlee anything.
Just another reason to go up - to keep hold of at least 5 potentially key players.
Deane was watching the Yeovil game just in front of me in C block, standing on his own. Just enough animation ( the kind of subconscious finger-pointing one does to the television, or at traffic lights) even in injury time. Showed me he's truly passionate.
He was wearing a suit, too.
Like him as a player, although don't think Leon Legge deserves to warm the bench. Shame he can't play LB!
Agree that Harlee is a class act with potential to progress even further. Also that he and Leon is probably our best pairing. Is Craig sufficently mobile and speedy to be our permanent left back? - haven't made my mind up about him yet.
What with Harlee's performance on Saturday, KOC's return to stabilise the defensive midfield and Farid showing the way to score goals and winning so many headers, it looks really promising.
I think Yeovil were a good side on top of their form and confident, I don't think they would have had an easy ride for that last 20 minutes with Harlee on the park. We'll never know but things look so much more secure with him on patrol.

Dean is an excellent young prospect, much in the way Micheal Turner was. He is still young though and gaining experience and will no doubt have one or two off days throughout t the course of the season. As much as I like Legge for the strength, physical presence and heading ability he lacks positional sense and the ability to pass well or bring the ball out of defence and as it seems we are still deciding if Craig is to be a centre half or a left back (due to our shortcomings in that area) I do think we lack another experienced centre half to really push for a place.
I wasn't entirely sure about him when he first arrived but he has improved considerably with first team football. On Saturday he was excellent and I fully agree that he made a significant difference to the defence as a whole compared to Tuesday.
Beesotted with Brentford...
Hypnotise the lot of 'em !
get him under a long-term contract pdq!
