Interesting that these two have been notably described as 'youth loans' – do these differ in some way to normal loans, eg. number allowed in the matchday squad etc. etc. ?
Think it just means that we only have to give them a weekly pocket money allowance, ensure Warbs tucks them in at night and reads them a bedtime story and promise them that if they are good boys Santa Uwe will buy them a Scalextrics for Crimbo

I heard the Rotheram youth loans were getting the Lego pirate ship, AND a rubiks cube, same old Brentford

Could be wrong but i believe that youth development is funded from a different budget than the 1st team sqaud. Not sure though if this applies to these two signings.

Hes played 1 pro game ? For a team that last season where in this division ? I don't know if this fella is going to be upto the task tbf, though if Uwe's been impressed by him then i suppose it could be a shrewd acquisition

I'm presuming he is back up for Leon and Eger. Push comes to shove, Marcus Bean has played at centre back in his career and we've hopefully got Karleigh coming back in next few weeks

I wish the 2 new lads well but is this some kind of Joke!!! When are we gonna get in a centre forward who actually knows where the goal is!!! Hasn't Pim returned to us? Can he not do a job for us at centre half??

Whats the point of shipping Wood out and getting in another left sided player.....here's a thought dont let Wood go anywhere in the first place and we wouldn't be short down the left hand side!!!

Goals will get us in the play-offs not having great up and coming full backs!!!

Please suggest who that could be.

Pim is still on loan to Rochdale but is injured. He may have returned for a medical examination.

Wood is not a full back, as evidenced by his appearances there. A good attacking full back is needed to give Woodman a role model.

While it is true that goals win games, having a full complement of fit full backs is a pre-requisite to conceding less than the opposition.

I don't know who will score us goals, but if Uwe is keen on brininging youngsters from premiership clubs then can he not bring in a striker or a midfielder who can pass the ball forward.

Sorry I thought Pim was now back with us permananetly.

Give Woodman a role model???....i suspect the Woodman would have more influence on a 18 year old kid just starting out in the game. Woodman is not an attacking full back, he aint suddenly going to become one!!

Our problems is not in defence it is in attack and has been for the past few years. Woodman aint great but he's not that bad and he is not the reason we are not winning games that we are dominating. Wood is more than adequate cover at left back, Uwe needs to start using the squad he has.

We need a striker, if thats an 18 year old from a prem club reserves then great at least then Uwe is trying to solve the problem. But at the moment I can't see him doing alot to cure the distinct lack of goals at Griffin Park.

No offence to the young man, but to an oldie like me, Harlee Dean suggests a cheerleader rather than a centre half

Well, only that he was the stand out player when we played them in a dev squad game apparently. Don't think he will make it at Soton especially as they seem premier bound. From watching the interview on Beesworld I just got the feeling that the way he spoke was that this loan move was more than just that, as he seems to think he wont make it there either. Could be wrong though. With rumours around that KO is on his way and I'm not sure that Eger will be here next season if he cuts the mustard he would/may be a good bet IMHO.

Good stuff. Sounds a decent prospect especially since Soton snapped him up with only a few FL games to his name

He came across as decent today, appeared similar polished version of Leon Legge only without the experience. Time will tell but could be a good prospect.
