Clearly stating it as you see it however whilst you may or may not be wrong regarding Donaldsin you were equally dogmatic regarding the virtues of dropping Ceaig and playing Leon, I refer you to Tuesdays game and rest my case!!!
Nothing in life is that black and White and I will be very surprised if Clayton is dropped as the alternatives are probably worse
Rubbish, if and when Farid and Hayes are allowed to play together in a side that has proper width, eg not confined to centre midfield by the "diamond" then I think there is every chance they could do OK .
Those that want to persevere with Clayton because "there are no alternatives" are jumping the gun in writing the other two off IMHO. I admit we need other options though, ie a small quick 'un in the Schlupp mould or even a more grown up Berahino type but unfortunately Uwe seems to have blown the budget on defenders and midfielders.
Not in the inner circle so can only give opinion not fact.
I hope Uwe heard this:
"We have to run and fight," said Mancini. "It's not enough to just pass..."

Surely given his countries history Mancini will be excellent at running but lacking slightly in the fighting department?
Some people are like Slinkies, no use but make you smile when pushed downstairs
Yes and I put my money down on my analysis of the team and how thy play but I did admit last week that I was wrong on Leon . We both know that Rosler is unpredictable who he picks but for some reason he persists with the Duck- a loanee forward will be forthcoming like last season but we need it now not in two weeks and I will not be backing Brentford to win on Saturday but hope they win- wish I didn't have a season ticket or I wouldn't waste my time and money watching the current frustrating style of play!
just listened to Rosler on Beesplayer.apparently Donaldson scores in waves.anyone know when the tides in next.totally uninspiring interview.

IMO we haven't been playing the traditional diamond ever since Sam dropped out. No-one plays in the hole behind the strikers. Harry hugs the line, Forshaw does most of his work on the right and Adeyemi and Douglas sit in the middle. Harry plays further forward than the other three-looks a bit like a hockey stick shape to me. It seems to bring the best out of Harry although I had assumed he'd play a straightforward positional swap for Sam but that hasn't happened. Re away formation, that'e exactly what Uwe has said we aim to play. I don't think we've seen the last of Sam. If he does come back IMO we will revert to a traditional diamond which worked well last season. But we seem to need a fit and in form Sam for that.
I think the nub of the problem is not whether Sam plays well or is out of sorts, not whether we play a diamond or a 4-4-2 but that our 3 forwards don't play together, whichever two we play. We have an "intelligent player who brings others in", who really needs a mobile and equally-intelligent partner and/or advancing midfielders (as was attempted at Tranmere); we have a "fox in the box" but that requires the ball and other players in the box; and we have a speedy forward with no confidence to strike the ball but an over-eagerness keep away and to take long throws. All of this means that we have little presence in the box, except at set plays, and end up taking pot shots from distance or wild shots from close in. A forward who can stick the ball in the net and has the support of a partner will be able to play with any formation.
