So if he a good steady defender A) why are we getting rid of him, B) Why has he drifted back into the next division down where he came from, C) Don't see numerous clubs in for him

Rosler knows that he was a liability back there which is why he doesn't rate him and why he's gone, the club has ambitions to go on to better things and with players like Woodman we were going no where fast

A solid defender, a reliable player rather than one who will help propell you forward. I thought he'd find another League One club easily enough, but maybe the idea of going back to his hometown seemed too promising.

I think he'll be popular with Exeter, not just for the local element but because he doesn't let you down often.

I agree that we need something different though, he's just another player that our current system/manager inherited that isn't quite right. We're getting to the point where our players are all largely on a similar wavelength in terms of how the game should be played. But this does put pressure on us to sign a left back pretty soon...

It makes me think that Uwe must be pretty sure that we have as good as got one. It would seem a little foolhardy otherwise to part with the only experienced LB we have without any real cover.

Very very harsh. As a defender he was better in my opinion than Dickson but did not have the ability to be a rampaging attacking LB although in fairness he did try to be. Decent free kicks and a steady head on him. We have had many worse and if the intention was to remain in this division then he would have been ok. We are however looking for promotion and thus need something better, hopefully this is in hand

Would like to wish him well he did fine for us and no doubt will prove popular at Exeter
