    Adam Forshaw

Young ATTACKING central mid from Everton apparently, on a months loan:

    welcome to the bench Adam

    comment from Alan Stubbs though

"If there's one lad in the team I could try to get out on loan it would be Adam. Also I have a really big nose"

at least he can admit it. A central mid with an eye for goal was about the only option I dont think we had covered. Could be a great move.

Hopefully a sign that we're establishing good ties with Everton, I think they like how we've handled Bidwell so far.

Not a signing I was expecting though...can only be a good thing.

So, is his position simply 'Centre midfield', but has an eye on goal or is he more of an AMF? Who in the team's place has just been threatened do we think?

Interesting. Gives us another option as at the mo we only have Saunders who can push on in a central role [ I've omitted Harry as I think next season will be his year].

    Injured apparently.

If we're signing up more central midfielders then hopefully that's a sign Uwe's going to stick with the Wycombe/Carlisle diamond.

Well he's reported as an "Attacking central midfielder" so I assume that makes him a Lampard esque CM with a goal in him rather than an "in the hole" player. I expect he's more another option in central than a direct threat to anyone.

Looks a very promising prospect, well done Mr Rossler. All those people who said Uwe was a bad appointment start eating your words. Good times are a coming.

Agreed. Im also hoping that Saido's deal is a sign that by playing good football we may attract more Prem clubs.

Unless Reeves is going out on loan or Forrester is injured, I'd rather see Jake given a chance tbh. Forshaw does look like a good signing though, and I hope he does well for us.

    welcome.

half of me thinks great (he is obviously a very fine prospect) however the other half of me says it will block one of our own players, like forrester, who are signed to BFC, who will be pushed further down the pecking order and probably off the bench.

it is very difficult to know what is best in the long term: use our own and give them playing time and encouragement or help another club's players get better and kick our own in the teeth.

    dunno.

For all we know Forrester could be out for the rest of the season a Adam has been bought in to replace him.

Totally understand where you're coming from but Forresters development seems to have been hindered by a series of niggling injuries, thinking about it I wonder how young Reeves feels though. He made a dramatic impact early season but hasn't been involved much since and maybe I would have liked to have seen him given a bit more prominence than another loanee who we will not be looking at in terms of a long term duration. Still I'm sure that their is a reasoned logic behind Rosler and this signing so good luck to Adam whilst in the Red White!
