He needs to be played in the middle and given a free reign. He's wasted out wide

Could his injury problems be the reason Everton let him go?

Either way, our best player in my opinion.

I do wonder how we may have faired, if he had been able to play most 90 minutes of games.

I wish I understood this injury. If he needs rest to fully recover, give him rest. If he needs an operation, give him an operation. Whatever it takes to get him 100% fit, do it. If he is stuck with the problem for the rest of his days then at least just say so.

    Quality. Quality. Quality.

We should get him on an extended deal now. Should be in a division higher at least.

The good thing for me was he saw out the whole game. Surely a step forward in regards to his slight injury. Once again he was class. So good on the ball, brilliant assist for the first goal. We have a star on our books. Can't believe he is genuinely ours and not a loanee

Enjoying each game he plays. He is like the kid in the playground you can never get the ball off.

Some prat in the paddock was slating him, said he's sh*t and never goes forward with the ball!!!
He obviously missed the 1st goal... I thought he was superb........ Again!!

By far the best player in league 1

Glides past tackles, takes the ball easily in his stride, good vision, wonderful balance.

    Thank you Everton.

Still think he's wasted on the wing and could cause much more damage in the middle

This bloke is TOP quality....Harry gets more headlines , and can be more 'eye' catching but for me Forshaw is a better player ...we are lucky to have both of them ..some of Forshaws passing and running with the ball was way above Lge 1 level last night. His decision to 'step down' from Everton was obviously with a view to playing regular football and getting back to a higher level...something I think he will do at some stage...enjoy him while we can !!

Ability to hold on to the ball wen under pressure is superb. Often has two around him and still keeps onto the ball.
Pure quality on the ball and also very intelligent.
He can pick a pass and links up really well with others.

You can see with him, Harry, Bidwell and Logan what a premiership standard youth development setup produces. Their touch, control and awareness is just at such a different level to what we have been used to coming through our own youth and players from other lower league and non league setups.

If this is what our level 2 youth programme will produce in years to come then we have a very different type of football to look forward to.

He is class and has the potential to be a real legend for us if we keep him. I'd really like to see him
play in the middle - he's ok wide but can drift out of games which is a complete waste. He's comfortable on the ball, holds off challenges, gets forward quickly, can pick out killer passes and his delivery and shooting is quality. He's got the lot, I just hope he continues to improve and he helps us to The Championship.
