Be fair sonofabee.... if a player can get away with it and it benefits your team.. then so be it... if we can have a player that everyone hates because their opinion is that he is a cheat, nasty etc then I'd be happy. Too many 'nice' players we have...

No problem with nasty winners joining us but Taylor has become a particular hate figure for us in recent years so it'd never happen.

He's definitely one of the better Division One players, though.
I'll be interested to see if he makes it at Millwall. If he doesn't, I'd be happy for him to sign on loan.

Thanks to MB we have been splashing the cash big time. Not only do we have cover for all positions, we have an academy with a number of players aged 18-21 who cannot get a sniff at the first team eg German and Reeves to name but two.

We also have the largest technical staff since Ron Noades' time as manager before he threw his toys out of the pram. Ditto our office staff which has expanded again this past year.

As Pipe says, we should be capable of achieving a top six finish. If we don't I suggest MB will ask a few questions of his senior management.

The fact that two or three of our major signings have been older journeymen is a management decision and we presume the team manager and director of football are in accord and MB has given his blessing for this type of signing.

Which 3 major signings are old journeymen.
Craig is 27 and Hayes 28, hardly old?

Surely a couple of Championship journeymen, if they're still able to turn in regular Championship-level performances, would be rather useful to have around.

Baxter is an interesting one. Everton actually offered him a 2 year contract which he turned down as he wanted to play football matches. Was trialing for Crystal Palace nearly all pre season and then found himself out of work and potentailly his bravery to walk away from everton nearly backfired, although a short term deal at Oldham may work out for him. Still one of a few who woudl turn down a deal at a premier club I woudl imagine.

He did but the difference is Baxter left Everton without an option. Would Forshaw have turned down a new contract if he didn't have any other offers?

Both scored on their debuts too (baxter and Derbyshire). Think theyll do well in this league.
