can we afford him?
Never never never give up(Sir Winston Churchill)
Would be the wrong signing imo. - he 27 and hasn't played 200 games. He's had 14 clubs and never made 50 starts for any of them. There is a reason that managers don't play him - perhaps the talent is there but not the application (as Paolo Di Canio alluded to when he was kicked out at Swindon).
I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
I have my fingers crossed firstly, that Spencer does well and that somehow we,find the cash for a 4th striker or ideally a 3rd striker with Spencer as number 4
How about this fella, Good goal scoring record over here and just out of contract with Shamrock rovers.

Too late now but a name i tipped up a couple of times last season just got his 9th goal in 12 starts for Pompey...Izale Mcleod....the blokes a bit of a tosser but as he has proved was worth a punt !
In all seriousness I'd like us not to sign anyone else unless we get a few injuries. I honestly think we have a great set of players. They just need to be set up properly.
Yes set up properly. Easy to say but come on, let's get it right. Set up tactically better and set up psychologically better and for some probably set up better in terms of fitness.
Football is a results business and at this time, with the great infrastructure in place we are underachieving.
Clayton's 1 on 1 perfornance should be worked on and worked on. Yes, it probably already is but psychologically it needs help. In training, a simple exercise of hin practising and practising 1 on 1s with other people shouting abuse at him should help train his focus on the task at hand: sticking the round thing in the onion bag. He needs to know he can stick those chances away. Get Richard Lee's hypnotist in. Visualise that ball hitting the back of the net. Again and again.
I get frustrated when people say 'but we are heading in the right direction'. I believe for the investmant being put in, we are not getting there quick enough and are taking too many stop offs on our way there.
MB might feel differently. He might think UR has been unlucky. Well I think we've been unlucky too often.
Seriously, with the individuals we've got (eg. Everyone was saying we should sign Hayes, Harry is class as are Forshaw, Bidwell and Dean), I really think we should be doing better. New signings will just mean more tinkering which over a season and a bit has not got us where we should be by now.

We've yet to see what Jimmy Spencer is like but I still believe we need a "quick young thing", either a striker or a player who plays at the top of midfield and can break forward with some speed... and accuracy.
When the wind of change blows some build walls, others build windmills...
Ps. It's not just CD's 1on1s that need more work obviously. I just do not believe the team are as set up as they should be.

check out (if you are so inclined) the altrincham videos, young lad called duncan watmore wearing number 7. now i know the standard is well below league one but could he be worth a look at? he scores a few cracking goals and puts over a good cross. I havent bothered checking if he's their player or anything just happened to find the page searching for something else.
Brentford ARE Back
Interesting article in tonights programme by Warburton about out attempts to get a loanee in?
A player whose summer move to London club hasn't work out as planned but he's on 10k a week plus a £1k appearance fee regardless whether he plays or not
Guess that might be Fuller at Charlton or more possibly Wilbraham at Crystal Palace who we nearly got on loan last season?
We pay 50% plus the 1K we declined I'm glad to say.

I know he is currently out on loan somewhere but could it have been Ravel Morrison?
