If matey can get more money for working less hours then it's a badly designed tax framework.
They should just get rid of all this ****ing tinkering around with childcare benefits and incentives and credits. Middle class welfare. I get some childcare rebate and I am fine thanks very much, how about you just don't take it off my payslip at the top? Save a bit of time and effort really.
that would be an ecumenical matter...
Threads like this really p*** me off.
So much envy, grief, anger, bitterness and upset over what? Just a few lousy quid!

I cease to be surprised by ill-informed comment that reduces everything to a one-liner; that's tabloid culture. There again, I'm not a pasty-munching, fag-smoking, tax-paying pensioner, with children to ferry 2,000 yards in my Q7 School-runner with its 100 litre tank to keep topped up, earning between 50 and 60k and never expecting to crack to 150k mark, am I? Then I'd be complaining about the budget!
