Sorry I was wrong to say a ford KA has a 45 litre tank www.buyacar.co.uk gives the full technical specification for a KA and the fuel tank capacity is 40 litres.

Still would be £56 to fill up from totally empty to full .

What a 'jerry can' please? Something to do with the war? Or Tom & Jerry? Good publicity for jerry csn manufacturers! I might start panic buying jerry cans for next time.

Apparently designed in Germany in the 1930s hence the name. Now made very popular bt the right honourable Francis Maude MP who suggests we should all fill ours up

massive queues in my local one last night so gave it a miss and stayed on red for a while longer....what was odd though was everyone was queuing up for the pump on the drivers side and the left hand pumps were empty but they were blocking them off with their cars....

The Daily Mirror had some headline that basically blamed the Government for this womans burns.

The fact that she was decanting petrol in the kitchen with the cooker on was probably tucked away on page 52 (didn't pick it up to read so am guessing it was that far in)

Don't let the facts get in the way of a shite headline.

Well obviously it has never been completely empty, but plenty of times with the warning light on, and i have never paid £40 or more. Maybe that guide is wrong then, because I have had this car 10 years now

You haven't been to the Isle of Wight. Generally 6-8p per litre more expensive than the mainland.

Check your vehicle handbook and it will give your fuel tank capacity.

It could well be sometims but every now and again i do know the BP in Boscombe becomes the most expensive in the country according to press, which is ironic as its in rather a deprived area

Perhaps you should check your fuel gauge is working correctly ? Of course maybe the last time you filled the car up it was below £40. Petrol has gone up so fast I think you will find out it will be over £50 this time

Went from Egham to Farnham Common yesterday via Old Windsor and couldn't get petrol until I'd tried 7 (seven) petrol stations.

I was running on fumes by the end. Typically it was the most expensive one that had had it.1.46 per litre for petrol.

I had a VW Passat up until 6 months ago and that took close to £100 worth of diesel. Had something like a 75 litre tank. Taking it gently I could get around 750-800 miles out of a tank of fuel.

When I finally found some diesel on Friday, a woman at an adjacent pump had put less than £7 in her tank.
    Is Bence playing today?
