Wasn’t that the incident where Sunderland were inexplicably awarded a free kick because their player blocked a shot with his face and collapsed theatrically?
And Sunderland won another penalty after their attacker initiated contact : wonder how long they will be able to get away with that before the referees work that tactic out?

Sure, but EFL clubs have free midweeks in the New Year, the likes of Villa don’t, in case they progress to the later stages of European competition.
