Listening to these two is almost better than being there - great entertainment

I thought it was interesting last night that the state of the pitch didn't appear to prevent either team playing a fast, attractive, and in Arsenal's case particularly, accurate passing game. There were a couple of occasions when the ball bobbled up and made them look a bit untidy but overall it...

As said above, the big positive from last night was the performance of the two centre backs, and Karleigh really helped Leon through the game. Leon was huge in defence and they were both a credit to the club. The high balls sent up front all evening didn't give Kabba a chance as their centre...

Singing "you don't know where you're going" to that prat Emanuel

Bumped into a bunch of Bradford fans as I left the ground and one was yelling into his mobile "yea, we got beaten by a sh*t team today". Really cheered me up, and I stopped to tell him so before being dragged away by 'er indoors who thought I should have been more sensible. Best end to a game at...

I thought the youth team were a credit to the coaching staff. Well organised and kept their shape until tiring towards the end. Very good entertainment and a lot of good passing football - makes a change from some of the recent first team games.

Of course I meant Wheater rather than Wheatley. And apologies for missing the very fine Gary Smith of my list. Wasn't he at Boro' when he was deemed responsible for putting the young Man U starlet out of the game at a huge cost to the insurers?

Definitely going. Thoroughly enjoyed the Thurrock game on a freezing cold night and looking forward to see the youngsters take on one of the best youth teams in the country. Have also managed to encourage at least one other Bees fan and four Boro fans to come too. The Boro boys are London based...

I agree. I thought in the first half you could hardly hear the crowd at all. Though the sound doesn't carry as well from the ealing road and that doesn't help. We only seemed to get going when the ref started to get it all wrong in the second half. Still, as noted above, the highest crowd in the...

The ref was a disgrace. The tackle on Newton was worthy of a booking but surprise surprise it was a throw in to Darlo. I thought even from a distance Charlie had a good shout for a penalty. And it took the man in yellow some time to deal with their time wasting goalie. The final whistle was a...

Osborne for me. He seems so much more comfortable at right back than in the middle and his distribution, which was so poor last season, was almost flawless today. A pleasure to see one of the youth squad start to show signs that he could make it.

Saw most of the game and apart from a shaky start - he only met his teammates on Friday - Karleigh had a solid game. It was his tackle in midfield which led to the winning goal. I confess to being a fan of KO and so was pleased to see him get man of the match. He must have played alongside more...
