Concerts Coming to the GTech?

Why? Loads of them go to the concerts in Gunnersbury park
Are they queuing round the block (green) for the drum n bass festival... Councillor O Riley first in the queue surely...

I imagine they hate the distant boom boom boom on a hot day even more than the football traffic!

Sally Stephens is going to hear the wrath of Chiswick fairly shortly.
A real shame, after all the work she did in sorting out the parking for the West Country Bees’ minibus 😐

Anyone booking that would go broke. They'd all sell out the Gtech on their own.

Perhaps Knocked Loose, who are the second support (behind Gojira) at the Metallica show at Championship club West Ham's race track of a ground in July

I saw them last summer. They were... loud.

I’d like to see Rotting Christ at the G-Tech.

I was going to say ‘what about Gunnersbury?’ - not knowing it had been cancelled. You can hear the Gunnersbury cacophony from the Gtech, so presumably vice-versa as well.
When was gunnersbury cancelled ?

Concerts Coming to the GTech?

We should get Rick Wakeman in with a full lightshow.

What difference would the stadium make to sound propagation. Presumably the stand would be at the east end. I would have thought a stadium would contain it more than speakers blaring out across a park.

Probably the west as all the rigging trucks etc can park in that stand’s compound.

Yes, far more likely to be the west stand for the reasons you state. Free concert for the balconies too.

Just reading that article and I was shocked to see that there was “scantily clad girls” and “cocaine use” in the bathrooms.

Does anyone have the address of that place, as I want to ensure I avoid it if the festival is on again next year?
“We had to close off the toilets,” he said. “People were coming in, girls in the daytime dressed very scantily.

A major problem if you ask me

The coffee shop on Chiswick High Road next to Gunnersbury station!

Consultation info from the OS;

Brentford Football Club is exploring the possibility of hosting up to six live music events each year at Gtech Community Stadium.

The concerts would be held over weekends in the summer months, when the pitch isn’t being used for football.

We have a strong track record of managing attendees safely at the Gtech, and would apply that same experience, expertise, and operational planning to a small number of concerts each year.

The concerts would make use of the existing stadium, with no building works or permanent changes required. They will require permission from Hounslow Council, and we will agree limits on timings and noise, as well as clear plans for transport, stewards, toilets and litter.

At the Gtech, we have the opportunity to introduce a professionally managed, medium-scale concert destination for west London, bringing new cultural experiences to the local area, supporting local shops, restaurants, and hospitality businesses, and attracting new visitors to Brentford.

The club is holding two public drop-in events for its neighbours, supporters and the wider community to find out more about our proposal to host concerts at the Gtech. Come along to meet the project team and ask any questions you might have. These are taking place on:

  • Saturday 18 July 2026, 10am - 1pm at Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, 1a Thomas Layton Way, London TW8 0SB
  • Monday 20 July 2026, 5pm - 8pm at Clayton Hotel Chiswick, 626 Chiswick High Road, Chiswick, London W4 5RY
Can’t make the events?

Brentford's exhibition materials and feedback survey will be published on the club website from Saturday 18 July.
