James, again recovering from his hamstring injury. Not known if he’ll play or be risked. Guehi is still playing through muscle fatigue(!), game by game. Expected to play.

Norwegians have supported England in World Cup since 1998...until this one. It will be harmless fun and healthy rivalry. Not every crunch game has to be ID or The Firm.

It's a bit of a weird one this. I almost prefered our "underdog" status going into the Mexico away game, especially as a Brentford fan... felt a lot more of a natural place to be.

So far we've been good against Croatia and Mexico, 2 games where although on paper we're better... you could see going either way.

I'm slightly worried that we're expected to win this game and we wont deal with it.

If we go out against Norway it's seen as failure IMO, if we fall in the Semi's or Final it's acceptable. Pressures on!

This is a 50/50 game where both teams can go into it thinking they have a great chance of winning.

The playing conditions in Miami will affect both teams equally where the majority of the players involved will be used to European conditions and both sides will be fully aware of the opposing team’s playing style making for a typical PL-style game.

In some ways this could favour England if they can play with more fluency and they possess more offensive options. The defensive matchup is intriguing with Haarland up against his teammates in Guehi and Stones.

It all makes for a very entertaining game with quality on both sides, not forgetting to hope that Kris Ajer has a good game, too, irrespective of the result.
