Not a massive fan of the black/yellow trim, but I think the yellow on the shirt is nice.
Really wish Joma would give the J on the sleeves a miss, too much going on there.
But overall I think it is actually a decent top, and definitely an improvement on last seasons one.
Indeed being on there is genuinely great, a massive upgrade on that nonsense Hollywood Bet.

Do agree that there’s too many Joma logos though.
Generally Joma seem to over brand all the various pieces of kit to the point of it being off putting.

Yellow trim.
No red or white trim on the shorts or socks, apart from 1889 in white on the back of the socks.

It's a no from me, yellow has no place on a Brentford home shirt and doesn't fit well with the traditional colours imho and the design is meh, not a fan of the plain back either.

The front is definitely cleaner than last seasons mess but with the yellow and a solid red pane on the back I'm afraid it's just not a Brentford shirt to me. 3/10.

Clearly someone in Joma design / marketing has made the connection between the colour of bees and our nickname. The end result is adding some yellow/amber/gold & black to the red & white stripes.
It’s smart enough. I’m not the target market and wouldn’t buy anyway but think it will sell well enough. Good that the club are maintaining the 2 year kit lifespan.
Let’s see if the bee colour theme carries through to the away / 3rd kit.

I wasn’t a fan of the idea that anybody who wanted to get printing on the shirt either had to pay £30 more than usual to get the authentic version, or have a shirt that looked completely different to the one we actually wore on the pitch.
Sure, the stripes do look better, but if the team are only going to wear a home kit with a red back all season, you should be able to purchase a home shirt with a red back without having to pay nearly £100 for the authentic version.
A replica shirt naturally will be of less quality, with some of the more detailed designs within the stripes for example not included, which is why it’s cheaper, but it shouldn’t have a completely different colour design to the actual kit in my opinion.

There are at the bottom of the shirt and the rest of the red section of the back will have a name and number in white on it, similar to last season, so it will look less ‘red’.

I'm a fan - i like the the yellow/gold/'honey' trim whatever you want to call it. Smart & simple. More red than white. Shame no striped on the back. Shame no red in the shorts/socks. But yeah otherwise, smart & simple, i like.
Interested to see what the away & third look like. Heard rumours of green for away. Would love black & yellow again.
Also be interesting to see all the other GK kits we end up wearing and not selling - doubt that purple will get much use as the ones that go on sale rarely do!

If the fans version had full stripes I'd give an 8/10 - no idea why they don't do that aside from encouraging name and number to make it look better/make extra money.

I quite like it especially from the front…it’s grown on me

Should have just kept our kits from last season and stuck new sponsors on. As we did with GMB & St George’s PLC for Wally Downes’ two seasons.
That view is formed on the basis that I liked all our kits last year, specifically the home and brown kits

This is probably asking too much but why not have 2 fan versions - 1 with red block and 1 with stripes so that those adding personalisation can buy that red block version etc.
