BFC ticket office thinks its behind closed doors.

Thank you for the email.

For the first game there is no information because it is behind closed doors at Rennes training ground. Therefore would not recommend them to go.

Please let us know if you have any further questions

Kind regards
Brentford FC.

Anyone know anything different?

From the official site when pre season fixtures announced ;

The match in Rennes will be on Saturday 8 August at Roazhon Park (6pm kick-off local time), with the fixture open to supporters.

The teams are also due to play each other earlier that day at the club’s training centre, with kick-off at 11am local time. Fans will also be able to attend that match.

Any savvy travellers know any particularly cheap way(s) to day-trip this? (Without a car)
Or travel early Saturday and back at some point on Sunday if needs be.
(Didn’t see any bargain trains/flights on Eurostar/skyscanner)

Have a look through the travel thread

and a few early tips in the main pre season thread here

Nantes was mentioned as a cheaper for flights, unsure how much a train or bus from there costs.

Your best bet is to see if anyone is getting the overnight ferry on Friday with spare room in car and coming back Sunday.
Foot passenger is £133.
Or anyone going via Newhaven to Dieppe £64

Should be zero, it's a pre-season friendly
I disagree, the loyal of all loyals should be remunerated with sufficient taps and be given preferred access to our champions league home match with Real Madrid In autumn 2027

Sorted x2

2 tickets came to £8.61 not £8.60 (£8.52 plus £0.09 transaction fee), just wanted to be the first to complain about that 😛

See you there! 🐝

3x W4 on board. See you all there. Now we just need them to clarify what's happening with the morning match. Are we allowed in or not and if we are which of the six or seven pitches is it on?

Stade Rennais (A) - Saturday 8th August (pre-season friendly)

According to the Rennes FC site, the morning game is on and reckon we should head there anyway. Le Leo of all Leo Sayers.

I needed 3 days off work last year and I just went for the game. Also wasn't cheap. This year 1 day off although could probably do it without a day off and if you can arrange a group of 3 or 4 to go in a car, the price is very affordable so no excuses really for us not selling our 1000. New ground as well ;-)

….the quality should be good too 😉🙌🏼👍
Will it need to be, are you expecting a warm welcome? Is there a danger of locals trying to rip down the flags that will be adorned across the bars? Are they old style “Millwall” or new style “Brentford”?

Any trip into Europe thesedays is a potential minefield for ANY British fans…the local nutters/ultas/hoolies etc don’t differentiate between a normal shirt wearing fan and somebody who shall we say is ready for war at all times…anyone is a target for them unfortunately and that goes with their old bill who are more than happy to put a baton over your swede for the slightest reason👀🫣😬

But I’m sure Rennes is lovely and welcoming and we’re all have a great time 👍🍺😁🥳

Has anyone received their tickets yet? And if not, why not.

I am outraged.

I might start moaning and complaining on the internet.

Who wants to join me?

Is the morning game definitely open to fans?.....,.ITK??
The office girl from Rennes thinks it is not, "a training friendly" she called it.
Would bee nice if we had some definitive clarity from BFC and when we expect to receive tickets........yea I know it's a week away, but I need plan to either 🍺🍺🍺early or have a lay in 🤔😎

Stade Rennais (A) - Saturday 8th August (pre-season friendly)

The original announcement said the morning friendly is open to fans. I think someone on here phoned our box office and was told it will be behind closed doors. Now "the office girl from Rennes" also says it's not open. I agree with everyone else, some clarity from our club would be welcome.

There is a huge market in central Rennes, specialising in local produce, food and drink. Apparently it's France's largest and most famous and runs from 6am to 1:30pm. So we're heading there, if the morning match is off limits. Then lunch, then pub with everyone else, then evening match (if the tickets ever materialise), then dinner and bed...

French food is overrated. Their wine is just about palatable. Beer is the nectar of the gods wherever in the world one is at.
