Part of Brentford folklore.Hopefully Marcus can get fixed up with a new club quickly.
Will always be welcome at the Gtech after that goal against Bournemouth.
v good pointThis is another confirmation that we are also very good at reading when players have hit their own personal ceiling. Lots complaining especially as he scored against Bournemouth when sold. But longer term has proved to be the right decision was made by the club.
Its amazing how the club achieves this. This is another confirmation that we are also very good at reading when players have hit their own personal ceiling. one of the unsung hero’s, popped up with a goal when we needed it the most.Hopefully Marcus can get fixed up with a new club quickly.

Hmm. On the whole yes, but not Forss. This is another confirmation that we are also very good at reading when players have hit their own personal ceiling. Lots complaining especially as he scored against Bournemouth when sold. But longer term has proved to be the right decision was made by the club.
... although thankfully there was no VAR.one of the unsung hero’s, popped up with a goal when we needed it the most.
Was a great instinctive poachers goal. Remember when initially Thomas changed formation and played 5 at back at two up top Marcus was his preferred second striker to Toney, being picked ahead of Bryan.Hopefully Marcus can get fixed up with a new club quickly.

Yes Bryan was usually playing at wing back with Toney and Forss up front. e.g. its debut away to PrestonWas a great instinctive poachers goal. Looking back at that first leg team selection it looks very strange have to say. I thought Thomas had moved on from playing Norgaard in the back three by then and Fosu in midfield who mostly was used from the bench? Rico was carrying an injury I recall ?Yes Bryan was usually playing at wing back with Toney and Forss up front. e.g. its debut away to Preston
In fact he didn't even start the first leg of the play offs, I can't remember if there was a specific reason for that.
But it switched Toney and Mbeumo up front for the second leg (Forss came on as sub) and the final.
I’ll always remember him for THAT goal! Still probably the most iconic game I’ve experienced in my 35 years!
Agreed, we have been spoiled in recent years. But not sure I’ve felt the hairs stand up on the back of my neck like I did in that game. And never felt like I’ve played such a part in an outcome…. Genuinely felt like we were on the pitch with them!Wembley that followed ?
First game against the Arse ?
So many great days to choose from, the list could go on
If you go on the GTech stadium tour Marcus Gayle shows a doorframe with damage caused by Begovic, the Bournemouth goalkeeper. I like to think that my shouted ‘advice’ might have contributed in some small way to his bad mood. (I was in the front row, immediately behind the West Stand goal that Forss scored in.) At the end of the game Begovic turned around and made a money rubbing gesture with his fingers. Strange thing to do.Agreed, we have been spoiled in recent years. Forss' goal qas the start and making of every memory sinceWembley that followed ?

Brilliant wasn’t it…Bobo Begovic was so rattled that day.
I’ve never seen a crowd (despite only being 4000 of us) intimidate the opposition so badly.
That goal by Marcus is my all-time favourite Bees goal.Hopefully Marcus can get fixed up with a new club quickly.

As I've said previously about that game, the whole COVID thing affected us fans, in the way we released our pent up emotions. Which must have had an effect on the Bmouth team, who hadnt experienced anything like that for over 12 months!!!Bobo Begovic was so rattled that day.

I seem to remember that although he didn’t score too many goals for us his shots were generally on target.
Another player who successfully progressed from the B team and, if the football gods allow, will continue to play at a decent level.
I am surprised he never really kicked on at Boro but I don’t think we would have gained anything from keeping him. In his last half season with us he did nothing of note in a team where TF threw on Charlie Goode as an additional CF. When was he ever going to get a league game in 22-23?A very good natural finisher.
Would be excellent in the right team , and injury free.
He was good for us, id have kept him but timing and our progrsession, he took an opportunity elsewhere, understandably
I put him well above league 1 although injuries may put him there.I am surprised he never really kicked on at Boro but I don’t think we would have gained anything from keeping him. Just one of many talented players whose real level is probably L1/L2 and we’ve forgotten that that is a pretty good level.
I just don’t see any point at which there’d have been a role for him with us after the point at which we loaned him to Hull. He’s had several managers to impress and failed to do so. Even when we were short enough of options to bring back Maupay I don’t think you or anyone else thought “oh it’d have been better to have got Forss back”.I put him well above league 1 although injuries may put him there.
He was a natural finisher. During that time under Frank, Frank made his decisions. If Forss wasnt used or used to his strenghts cant be too critical but there were quality moments with him.
Getting in the prem, who knows what he could have done but he would definitely been second fiddle who knows now.

I think I agree with the last 2 sentences….Not necrssarily better but i wouldnt have opposed it to find out.
Since leaving us, hes been injured, a lit i think. Hard tonimptess if thats the case
Was literally about to suggest Bolton my Bolton supporting friend raved about him so I suspect they'll take him after their promotion.![]()
Familiar face is training with Bolton Wanderers in Slovakia pre-season camp
Bolton Wanderers have welcomed a familiar face back to fold as they prepare to open their pre-season schedule in Slovakia.www.theboltonnews.co.uk
Yes, came on as a second half sub and scored the 3rd goal in a 3-0 winDid he score at home to Preston??? At GP - game when Jeanvier hurt his neck?
Was that the last game of the season that we won 3-0 ?Did he score at home to Preston??? At GP - game when Jeanvier hurt his neck?
Yeah maybe mate, couldn't remember if they scored? GP memories hey xWas that the last game of the season that we won 3-0 ?
I think Konsa and Maupay scored as did Forss with a low 25 yarder into the corner past Ripley.
Tell him to give Everton a call. Their recruitment sort of went tots up!Still a free agent at the close of the window.
I hope he gets himself sorted with a new club quickly.
