OK. My take on it.
Justice was served as the only team looking to play something resembling football won.
I saw enough Argie tears to make it all worthwhile, (the whole 5 weeks), but the presentation was odious tonight.
I hate the USA and their jingoism approach to anything that should be so sacrosanct in the real world (real sport) and the sooner the orange f*** dies the better, hopefully with his cock wedged up Infantono's arsehole!

First the Malvinas banner followed by the disgraceful display at the end of the match. How they're not banned is beyond belief.
There was only one team trying to play football and fortunately for the game they won despite having a perfectly good goal disallowed and subjected to continual snidy fouls

This was a victory for football !
Argentina created nothing and deserved the same.
It will be interesting if Argentina are fined for starting the trouble after the final whistle?
FIFA fines for the Argentinian FA? Throughout the competition, Argentina were a disgrace with their dark arts against their opponents.
Also there continual intimidating of match officials!

If Argentina hadn’t gone down to ten men the Final would have gone to penalties and they would have been favourites. Spain for as good as they are are pretty toothless up front, we would have had every chance in Final but all water under bridge now unfortunately.

Great result - turned off at HT to avoid the Superbowl show and didn't miss much by the sounds of it.

Won't go down as a great WC IMHO been a few good games but the Americanisation has been disgraceful so hopefully they dont host it any time soon 🙏

It wasn’t a great game by any stretch, but I found it quite absorbing to watch. You know, waiting for the next crunching tackle, that type of thing. Very disappointing behaviour from the Argies of course. As usual.

Thank God that's all over with. The worst World Cup final "experience" in history. So many reasons to detest it, so few to enjoy.

The issue wasn't the dark arts, the issue was officials and fifa not dealing with it as they should have. Same with balogun being allowed to play. Shameful.

I would love to know the reaction of the Argentinian newspapers to the way their team played.

Will they just be cheerleaders and say everyone was against them and that they were cheated and robbed or will they tell it as it really was and criticise their approach and brutality.

Glad the (relatively) good guys won.

Turned it off at the final whistle as I knew the orange lunatic would make it about himself. The horsedoings at half time were bad enough by the Americans and the BBC.

Infantino needs removing from FIFA, by physical force preferably. FIFA needs dismantling and replacing by something better really but I imagine the money involved in football will always lead to corruption.

USA must never host this competition again.

I think that after that behaviour throughout the tournament and especially the final, Argentina should start every match with their whole squad and bench (coaches etc) on a yellow card before kickoff.

Every normal yellow card during the match = red card immediately

Argentina were under the cosh for 90 minutes, yet Messi managed to stroll around the halfway line, barely ever getting involved in defending. Despite this Spanish chances were few and far between in normal time.

Two lessons from this.

1) He may well be the GOAT but in a game where you plan to defend for 90 minutes he was a passenger. Should have been subbed.

2) Spain exerted the smae pressure for 90 minutes that the Argies did against us for 35 mins. Yet they coped with a player not in or near their penalty area (Messi). We should have put Bellingham (or similar) on the half way line. It would have forced them to put a player back and another just in front of them and they would have needed to build their attacks from halfway, not from 10 yards outside our penalty box.

I can't for the life of me understand the current approach of having all 11 of your players in the box for corners etc

Once Argentina went down to 10, they essentially had 9 as Messi covered the same 5 yards of space around the right wing for half an hour

I suspect there are stats that show transition breaks create more goals and chances than keeping a bloke 50 yards upfield and occupying a couple of defenders

The general theme is proud of the team, for making it again to the final. It is clearly the end of an era, and several common points with the 86 and 90 World Cups, which are still fondly remembered there.
Not much crying or complains about the result, other than the few usual numpties analyzing the red card of Enzo Fernandez with the same rigorous level some people here analyzed the second goal in the semifinal, which kind of proves there are idiots everywhere.
It's not clear if there will be a parade, but that's more down to the political background - last time it was also a big thing, with the players refusing the invitation to the government house, and this time the AFA president is heavily involved in several corruption scandals, not many want him to use it to improve his image.
